The dynamics of the reduction of graphite oxide by tetralin and 9,10-dihydroanthracene was studied using MAS NMR and elemental analysis. The reductive activity of 9,10-dihydroanthracene is so high that graphene-like hydrocarbon particles may be obtained with O/C atomic ratio equal to 0.03.
