Microwave-assisted one-pot synthesis of octahydroquinazolinone derivatives using ammonium metavanadate under solvent-free condition

Ammonium metavanadate (NH4VO3) has been shown to be an inexpensive, efficient, and mild catalyst for the one-pot synthesis of octahydroquinazolinone derivatives using dimedone, urea/thiourea, and appropriate aromatic aldehydes under microwave-irradiation. (C) 2010 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
