Summary: This research demonstrates that using zwitterionic organic halide salt 1-amino pyridine iodine (AmPyI) as a defect passivation agent for perovskite can effectively modify both the surface and grain boundary defects. The introduction of AmPyI improves the film crystallinity and enhances the binding between cations and perovskite. This approach leads to enhanced perovskite grain size and a high efficiency of 23.80% with minimal hysteresis.

Summary: The indolo[2,3-a]quinolizines, canthines, and arborescidines natural products show a wide range of bioactivities, with the development of the Complexity-to-Diversity (CtD) strategy providing a powerful tool to transform natural products into various structural and stereochemical diversity. However, limitations in reactions due to functional groups in starting materials still restrict the desired diversity in some transformations.

Summary: This research investigates the interaction between two asymmetric zwitterionic geminis and lysozyme, finding that the n(-)-2-(+)m complex binds more significantly to HEWL than 8(-)-2-(+)16. Fluorescence and CD spectroscopy reveal conformational changes in HEWL upon surfactant addition. Molecular docking identifies the binding sites of the geminis with HEWL, and molecular simulation indicates the formation of stable protein-surfactant complexes.

Summary: Functionalization of large aromatic compounds and biomolecules with optical cycling centers (OCC) enables precise control of internal and external dynamics, leading to applications in high-precision spectroscopy, ultracold chemistry, and enantiomer separation. This study introduces a novel type of functionalized molecular cation with a positively charged OCC bonded to organic zwitterions, showing efficient and highly closed population cycling for dipole-allowed optical transitions in strontium(I) complexes with betaine and other zwitterionic ligands.

Summary: The electronic structure of permanent zwitterion glycine-betaine (GBZW) was studied using the high-level ab initio method: equation-of-motion couple-cluster (EOM-CCSD) method, and the photoelectron spectra of GBZW were simulated in the valence and core ionization regions. The zwitterion showed remarkable stability with a standard enthalpy of formation Delta H-f(o)(g) = -313.6 kJ/mol and a 1st ionization energy 2 eV lower compared to the parent glycine, which helps in understanding the molecular structure of ubiquitous zwitterions.

Summary: By conjugating formally antiaromatic substituents to the free radical, a new strategy to stabilize free radicals electronically has been described. This strategy successfully stabilizes radicals by providing antiaromaticity relief to the substituent, but only if the antiaromatic substituent is constrained to be planar by synthetically imposed conformational restraints. This work leads to the counterintuitive finding that increasing the antiaromaticity of the radical substituent leads to greater radical stability, providing proof of concept for a new stereoelectronic approach for stabilizing free radicals.

Summary: An electrochemical aptasensor was designed and synthesized for the specific recognition of the CRP biomarker using a novel porous and planar structure with poly deep eutectic solvent modified graphene oxide coated by gold nanoparticles. The optimized method provided good linearity for the detection of CRP in a low concentration range, with high recoveries and low variabilities in human serum samples. Overall, the designed platform offers an efficient pathway for the sensitive detection of various biomolecules in a label-free manner by changing the corresponding particular aptamer recognition strands.

Summary: In this study, the impact of biocompatible synthetic polymers on the structure and dynamics of L-asparaginase was investigated using molecular dynamics simulations. The results demonstrate that the protein encapsulated in PLGA is more stable than in MPEG, primarily due to electrostatic interactions between the enzyme and PLGA. Hydrophobic and vdW interactions are the driving force for the protein-MPEG interaction. The study also highlights the critical roles of the protein's basic residues in the encapsulation mechanism.

Summary: Chiral transition metal complexes with privileged ligands are efficient catalysts for various asymmetric organic transformations. Transition metal complexes of C1-symmetric pyrrolidine-based ligands have been widely used in asymmetric organic reactions. However, a comprehensive review article on the transition metal complexes of chiral C1-symmetric pyrrolidine-based ligands derived from (L)-proline has not been published.
