Facile allylation of N-Boc and N-Cbz imines with allyltrichlorosilane promoted by DMF

Facile allylation of various N-Boc and N-Cbz imines with allyltrichlorosilane has been effected using N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) as the activator. The N-Boc and N-Cbz homoallylic amines were obtained in good to high yields under mild conditions.
