2,2′, 6-Tribromobiphenyl via Transition-Metal-Free ARYNE Coupling: A Valuable Tool in the Synthesis of Biphenyls

We report a high yielding synthesis of 2,2`,6-tribromobiphenyl (TBBP) via aryne coupling, and we discuss the fundamental influence of the reaction conditions.
