Summary: This study analyzed the risk factors and clinical outcomes of hemorrhagic duodenal GISTs, revealing a higher incidence of bleeding compared to gastric GISTs. Age, tumor size, and mitotic count were identified as risk factors for overall survival. Duodenal GISTs have a higher rate of tumor bleeding and re-bleeding after endoscopic hemostasis than gastric GISTs.

Summary: Duodenal diverticulum (DD) is the second most common type of gastrointestinal diverticulum, mainly caused by poor congenital development. Perforation, a severe complication, occurs most commonly in the second and third segments of the duodenum. Advancements in surgical treatment models for spontaneous perforation of primary DD suggest that transabdominal exploratory surgery may not be the preferred option.

Summary: Canine chronic inflammatory enteropathy requires histopathology of intestinal biopsies for definitive diagnosis. Recommendations suggest concurrent duodenal and ileal biopsies for dogs with chronic GI signs, as there may be discrepancies in disease types and severity within different GI locations.

Summary: The management of perforated duodenal diverticula has evolved over the past decade, with a trend towards conservative treatment in stable patients. However, for patients who do not respond to conservative treatment, a step-up approach to surgical intervention may be necessary.

Summary: The study evaluated the outcomes of intra-procedural deep mural injury (DMI) in large non-pedunculated colorectal polyps (LNPCPs) undergoing endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR). It found that significant DMI can be managed endoscopically with high success rates and does not impact technical success or recurrence.

Summary: Neuroendocrine tumours of the upper small intestine are rare, slow growing, and can be treated with endoscopic removal or surgery. Long-term survival is associated with tumor growth rate and complete tumor removal, with larger tumors potentially requiring surgery for lymph node metastases. Patients with these tumors generally have long overall survival, and both endoscopic and surgical resections have shown effective results with low recurrence rates.

Summary: This retrospective analysis of 145 cases of endoscopic submucosal dissection for duodenal neoplasms (D-ESD) examined the management and healing process of ulcers. The study found a decrease in delayed adverse events with complete ulcer suture after D-ESD. Additionally, a minimum duration of 3 weeks of proton-pump inhibitors (PPIs) may be necessary for proper healing.

Summary: This report presents two cases of rectal perforation after aquablation treatment for benign prostatic obstruction (BPO). Delayed diagnosis complicates the treatment of this rare complication, highlighting the importance of routine rectoscopy following aquablation procedures. Immediate rectoscopy identified the perforation during the second case, demonstrating the need for prompt intervention in such cases.

Summary: This study evaluated the efficacy of the 'over-the-scope stenting' (OTSS) technique in treating iatrogenic duodenal perforations occurred during endoscopic ultrasound (EUS). The results showed that the OTTS technique is feasible, safe, and effective in treating large iatrogenic duodenal perforation occurring during EUS.

Summary: This study demonstrates the feasibility of repairing dural tear using nonpenetrating titanium clips in endoscopic spine surgery. Through retrospective analysis of 5 patients, it was found that the use of nonpenetrating clips successfully repaired the dural tear area with no postoperative cerebrospinal fluid collection, and significant clinical improvement was observed.
