Summary: This study assessed somatic symptoms in breast cancer patients during the first six months post-diagnosis and found that coping flexibility, including trauma-focused and forward-focused coping strategies, moderated the association between somatic symptoms at three months post-diagnosis and somatic symptoms at six months post-diagnosis. Coping flexibility can buffer the stability of somatic symptoms during the early phase of breast cancer treatment.
