Summary: Validity is not an inherent property of a measurement scale, requiring evidence for validity relating to its use for specific purposes, populations, and contexts. This study aimed to demonstrate the construct validity of a generic health-related quality of life instrument in cats with osteoarthritis and to investigate the responsiveness of the instrument to detect clinically relevant changes over time.

Summary: Results showed moderate to high correlations between BETY-BQ and other scales, along with weak to moderate correlations with SF-36 sub-parameters. The reliability study demonstrated very high consistency in responses using the test-retest method and a high intraclass correlation coefficient. In terms of responsiveness, BETY-BQ showed weak correlations with other scales and moderate correlations with HADS.

Summary: This study aimed to validate the Post-VTE Functional Status (PVFS) scale. The results showed that PVFS scale had significant correlations with other health measurements and higher grades were observed in patients above 70 years. The study suggests that PVFS scale can be incorporated as an additional health measurement and outcome parameter in research and clinical practice.

Summary: This systematic evaluation examines the use of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) in clinical trials for artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. The study found that although there is an increase in the number of clinical trials for AI health technologies, the use of PROMs is still lacking. The most common clinical areas where PROMs are used include digestive system health and musculoskeletal health.

Summary: This study analyzed the changes in kinematics and work physiology during progressive lifting in healthy adults. The results showed significant differences in muscle use, heart rate, base of support, and movement pattern with increasing loads, while posture changes were not significant. These findings were objectively quantified using lab technology and aligned with existing observation criteria.
