Exploiting the quasi-invariance of atomic displacements

The quasi-invariance of the magnitude of atomic displacements is briefly introduced and demonstrated for the case of indole. The usefulness of this property for the assignment of neutron vibrational spectra is underlined. (C) 2011 Published by Elsevier B.V.
