This study describes a strategy to control the degree of alpha-helix stabilization and the shape of alpha-helix-decorated nanostructures. Coassembly of a macrocyclic peptide and a beta-sheet peptide diminished steric clashes between helical peptide segments, further stabilizing alpha-helices.
