Selective thermoelectric hydrogen sensors (THS) were used for the real time analysis of hydrogen (H-2) in the human breath. Using these breath monitoring systems, the hydrogen concentrations in the breath of four different subjects were monitored and the accuracy of these measurements was confirmed using a gas chromatograph. It was observed that the intake of the hydrogen water rapidly increased the concentration of H-2 in breath, reaching a maximum approximately 40 ppm in 10 min. Using these THS the real time monitoring of the H-2 concentration in breath was performed with the sampling time of 0.5 s and it was confirmed that the acquired data were similar to the data obtained by the gas chromatograph.
