Summary: We present a study on robust, transparent, and flexible thin-film transistors made of single-walled carbon nanotubes using an all-inkjet printing method. Our findings reveal that these thin-film transistors exhibit different photoresponses based on the power levels of incident light, distinguishing them from previous reports that classified them as photodetectors. Furthermore, these transistors show stability under daily illumination conditions, making them suitable for light-insensitive transparent and flexible electronic applications.

Summary: Fabricating electronic and optoelectronic devices using a facile electrode fabrication process with SWCNT films leads to improved device performance. Dry-transferred SWCNT films as transparent electrodes in Schottky diodes for photodetector applications increase light absorption in photoactive MoS2 channels. The enhanced photodetection is attributed to FN tunneling and internal photoemission of charge carriers excited from indium tin oxide across the MoS2 layer.

Summary: In this study, flexible and transparent hybrid electrodes were prepared using an aqueous solution of non-oxidized graphene and single-walled carbon nanotubes. The hybrid electrodes showed excellent properties, such as high optical transmittance, low sheet resistance, and high flexibility. Thin-film transistors fabricated using the hybrid electrodes exhibited comparable electrical properties to those fabricated using Al electrodes.

Summary: In this study, a method for fabricating high-performance flexible smart windows using copper nanowires/multi-walled carbon nanotubes (Cu NWs/MWCNTs) as flexible transparent electrodes was presented. The flexible smart window achieved a high transparency difference of 69.6% at a low voltage (35 V), and exhibited good optoelectrical properties and uniform electric field. Additionally, the MWCNTs provided excellent mechanical stability for the electrodes. Therefore, the flexible smart window showed high output performance, mechanical durability, and fast response, making it suitable for commercial applications.

Summary: Flexibility and lightweight are important research topics in space science and technology. However, most photoelectronic devices on spacecraft are currently rigid, which is not suitable for the space environment with irradiations and thermal cycling. This review presents the synthesis of space-durable photoelectronic materials, the fabrication of flexible devices, and the investigation of irradiation mechanisms. These advancements lead the development of flexible and lightweight space science and technology.
