Summary: This report describes and characterizes an enzymatic biofuel cell that is simple, mediator-free, and glucose-powered. It utilizes biocompatible materials and features a two-dimensional mesoporous thermally reduced graphene oxide (rGO) host electrode. The use of biocompatible, low-cost filter paper (FP) as a support material for the host electrode is also explored. The cell shows high power density and stable power output under ambient conditions.

Summary: This study explored the potential of nitrogen-doped graphene quantum dots to induce 3D porous orientation of graphene oxide nanosheets, enhancing electrolyte transport rates and electrocatalytic activity. The control over the polymeric ionic liquids (PILs) segment allowed for excellent thermally responsive electrocatalysis with reversible 'ON-OFF' effect, showcasing the potential for broad application in the field of intelligent electrochemical sensors and devices.

Summary: Exploiting adsorbents with high adsorption activity, good durability and low cost remains the core focus of water pollution treatment. In this study, a composite aerogel was synthesized using SA, GO, and β-CD, showing excellent adsorption properties for metal ions. The results suggest that the synthesis of SA/GO-β-CD-4 composite aerogels could pave a new way for versatile adsorbents.
