Summary: This study aimed to investigate the knowledge, attitudes, and uptake of mental health services by secondary school students in the Gweru district. A qualitative approach was used, and 15 students from three secondary schools in Gweru were interviewed. The findings revealed that although most students were aware of mental health services, they had distorted information and poor utilization. Therefore, psycho-education sessions are recommended to promote the use of mental health services by secondary school students.

Summary: In a pandemic era, it is important to empower individuals to make informed decisions about health issues, especially viruses and vaccines. This study explores eighth graders' reasoning about vaccination through small group and plenary discussions of false claims. The findings suggest that involving well-informed students in discussions can positively impact other students' reasoning and that scientific knowledge and argumentation are crucial for further research on students' reasoning about vaccination.

Summary: The study found that although generalist nurses had positive attitudes and sufficient knowledge, these factors did not predict their practice when encountering patients with mental distress in non-psychiatric inpatient settings. Therefore, application-based pedagogies are needed to enhance nurses' recognition and treatment of non-psychiatric patients experiencing mental distress.
