Summary: Professional coaches often use performance analysis and metrics to inform their decisions and strategies. This study aimed to explore coaches' perspectives on the successful integration of performance analysts into the high-performance environment. Interviews with elite Rugby Union coaches revealed three main dimensions: the role and purpose of a performance analyst, and the attributes they should possess. Coaches emphasized the importance of the coach-analyst relationship and the analyst's ability to collect, filter, and deliver information, as well as their communication skills and creativity.

Summary: This study proposes a personalised behavioural feedback intervention based on students' writing engagement analytics and examines its impact on learning engagement and performance in reflective writing tasks. The results show that the intervention cohort, receiving the combined feedback of analytics and human feedback, engages significantly more in their reflective writing task compared to the control cohort, which only receives human feedback. Further analysis reveals that a more regular weekly reflection leads to better performance grades, especially for students with low self-regulated learning skills. This study highlights the benefits of implementing combined feedback approaches to improve student engagement and performance.

Summary: This study investigated collegiate coaches' reflective inquiry processes and their impact on personal and emotional resources in demanding environments. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 13 Division II head coaches to explore their reflective processes. Findings revealed the importance of both strengths-based and deficits-based inquiries in coaches' reflective practices, with strengths-based reflection promoting personal resources and deficits-based reflection focused on performance problems. These findings provide insights for coaches to effectively manage performance demands through reflection and the development of personal resources.

Summary: Organizations are replacing performance ratings with continuous feedback systems. This study examines people's reactions to continuous performance feedback in terms of content and sources. The results show that person-mediated feedback, regardless of content, positively influences performance, motivation, and task engagement. Quantitative feedback only correlates positively with performance. Qualitative feedback is more effective in enhancing motivation and engagement. Further research is needed to fully understand the effectiveness and characteristics of continuous performance feedback.

Summary: P2-type layered transition-metal oxides with anionic redox reactions have shown promise as cathodes for sodium-ion batteries. This study focuses on a high-sodium content P2-type Na7/9Li1/9Mg1/9Cu1/9Mn2/3O2 (NLMC) cathode material, in which Li/Mg/Cu are substituted for Mn sites in Na2/3MnO2. The results demonstrate a high reversible capacity originating from both cationic and anionic redox activities, as well as good capacity retention after cycling. The study also provides insights into the migration energy barrier, Na ion diffusion kinetics, and the structural evolution of Na-deficient oxides.

Summary: This study explored the understanding of Irish high-performance sport coaches towards reflective practice, including its purposes, processes, enablers and barriers, and knowledge sources. The findings revealed that reflective practice plays an important role in problem solving and facilitating learning and development for coaches and athletes. However, there are several factors that both enable and hinder reflective practice in high-performance sport, and the knowledge sources may limit participants' ability to become critically reflective practitioners.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of implementing attributional feedback in a digital learning environment on students' activity-related achievement emotions and writing performance. The results suggest that students who received attributional feedback reported higher levels of enjoyment and lower levels of anger and frustration, as well as outperforming their peers in writing performance. Additionally, students' tendency towards adaptive reactions to errors significantly influenced their emotions and performance.

Summary: This study explores the impact of coaches' awareness of their role on the development of skill execution under pressure in curling. The study finds that coaches lack awareness of their role in developing skill execution under pressure and highlights the importance of coach education in creating that awareness. The coaches' experiences also reveal unique aspects of curling and raise questions about the use of implicit techniques. Further research is needed to investigate the effectiveness of building robust skills and coaching advice.

Summary: This study investigates the direct relationship between feedback seeking behavior (FSB) and performance, examining the dimensions of FSB (frequency and content) and types of performance (goal achievement and behavior-related performance). The results show a significant relationship between FSB frequency and goal achievement, while diagnostic FSB content is positively correlated with individual work performance (IWP) representing behavior-related performance. No similar relationship was found with other types of FSB content. The study provides evidence that the relationship between FSB and performance depends on the type of FSB content and expected types of performance, offering insights for organizations to enhance the effectiveness of FSB.

Summary: Debriefers in simulation training struggle to mediate conflict between learners, emphasizing the importance of self-awareness. Specific mediation strategies include intervention, addressing power dynamics, reconciling unproductive differences, leveraging different perspectives, circumventing conflict, and moving beyond conflict, each involving specific skills. Situations triggering mediation approaches are related to psychological safety, emotional intensity, and opportunities for shared understanding and productive learning, with debriefers applying strategies flexibly and creatively.
