Summary: Two polysaccharides, CHFVP-1 and CHFVP-2, were successfully isolated from Flammulina velutipes and their structures were determined. CHFVP-1 exhibited procoagulant activity, while CHFVP-2 did not show significant coagulant activity. This finding could contribute to the further utilization of Flammulina velutipes in the field of medicine.

Summary: This study investigated the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory capacities of Flammulina velutipes polysaccharides (FVPs) and fermented FVP (FFVP) on mice intestinal inflammation. The results showed that FFVP had higher antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities than FVP, indicating its potential application in functional food and health products. Inhibition of the NLRP3 signaling pathway activation may be one of the anti-inflammatory mechanisms of FVP and FFVP.

Summary: In this study, cinnamaldehyde emulsion was prepared using soybean phospholipids and pullulan. The emulsion coating showed a positive effect on inhibiting reactive oxygen species accumulation and improving the delaying effectiveness of free radical scavenging enzymes. It also significantly prolonged the shelf life of mushrooms, indicating its potential application in food preservation.

Summary: In this study, a novel HFV cryogel was successfully constructed and showed promising potential in wound healing. The HFV70 cryogel exhibited a loose porous structure with desirable properties such as high porosity and water uptake ratio. In vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrated that HFV70 had improved cytocompatibility, hemocompatibility, antibacterial, and antioxidant properties. It also showed rapid and effective hemostasis and promoted tissue regeneration in a rat model. Overall, HFV70 has great importance in the treatment of full-thickness skin defects and achieving rapid hemostasis.

Summary: A novel seedbed-like scaffold fabricated using Flammulina velutipes showed excellent biological activity and water absorption capacity after further optimization processing. The Flammulina velutipes polysaccharides-derived scaffolds exhibited remarkable antibacterial activity against various bacteria and promoted accelerated wound healing and hair follicle regeneration in a rat skin wound model.

Summary: This study aimed to examine the effects of chronic low-dose vanadium administration on the behavior of young male rats. The findings suggest that vanadium does not significantly affect exploration, locomotion, or anxiety-like behavior in rats, but does affect novel object recognition performance. Additionally, vanadium administration led to lower latency times in the Morris Water maze task.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of Botulinum toxin on spatial memory and biochemical and histological parameters in the hippocampus of male rats. Results showed that Botox significantly impaired memory performance and led to a decrease in acetylcholine levels, increase in acetylcholinesterase activity, and morphological damage in the hippocampus. Administration of Rivastigmine partially alleviated these effects and could serve as a protective approach.
