Summary: This study aims to predict teachers' extensive technology acceptance by extending the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with their technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) and innovativeness. The findings indicate that TPACK, perceived usefulness of technology, and innovativeness collectively influence teachers' behavioral intention to teach online post-pandemic. The study also highlights the significant role of training and support from school in predicting teachers' TPACK and perceived usefulness.

Summary: It is currently uncertain whether exposure to anaesthesia at an early age leads to brain damage and affects long-lasting structural and behavioral consequences in primates. A study found that monkeys exposed to anaesthesia early in life exhibited signs of chronic astrogliosis after 2 years, which correlated with behavioral deficits. Given the increased frequency of anaesthetics exposure in human infants, clinical trials are needed to better understand the impact of sedative/anaesthetic agents on brain and behavior development.

Summary: This study analyzed the otologic symptoms in patients with COVID-19 infection and explored the pathogenic characteristics during the pandemic. The study found that nearly half of the infected participants had otologic symptoms, including vertigo, tinnitus, otalgia, aural fullness, hearing loss, otorrhea, and facial paralysis. It is important not to overlook the involvement of the cochleovestibular system and facial nerve while treating COVID-19 infected individuals during the pandemic.

Summary: Hernia repair surgery is considered a quality of life surgery, with most patients preferring specialists to perform the operation and wishing for detailed knowledge about the disease and its treatment. The most feared complication is chronic pain, and there is a desire for more information about the impact on sexual function. Additionally, patients show support for pre-habilitation and participation in a hernia registry.

Summary: The HIV self-testing (HIVST) uptake rate has increased among men who have sex with men (MSM) in Jiangsu province, China. Choosing HIVST as the first HIV test, perceiving it as more private, and not needing to go to a health facility are factors associated with recent HIVST uptake.

Summary: The COVID-19 pandemic has negatively affected the utilization of HIV testing among Chinese MSM, with no significant increase after the pandemic was under initial control. Removing structural barriers caused by COVID-19, modifying perceptions related to HIV testing, and utilizing HIV self-testing might be effective strategies to improve HIV testing among MSM during the pandemic.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the rates and factors associated with violence against psychiatric trainees in Asian countries through an online survey. The results showed that more than two thirds of the participants experienced assault, with psychiatry inpatient units being the most common setting. Further research and protective programs are needed to address this issue.

Summary: This study aimed to explore the rates and factors associated with violence against psychiatric trainees in Asia. A survey was conducted among 467 psychiatric trainees from 16 Asian countries, and the results showed that more than two-thirds of participants reported a history of assault, with sexual assault being more common among women. These findings call for further investigation and the development of programs to protect psychiatric trainees from violence and its psychological complications.

Summary: This study explores the willingness to use long-acting injectable-pre-exposure prophylaxis (LAI-PrEP) among men who have sex with men (MSM) in China. The study found that MSM had high awareness but low uptake of PrEP. The results highlight the need for education programs focused on PrEP and healthy sexual behavior, and provide evidence for future LAI-PrEP use among the Chinese MSM population.

Summary: A survey found a high prevalence of ED in young men, with a significant association with problematic pornography consumption. The frequency of watching pornography affects the likelihood of ED, while the frequency of masturbation does not seem to be a significant factor in ED.

Summary: The study revealed that collaboration with general practitioners (80%), communities/stakeholders (66.7%), and school-based mental health promotion programs (53.3%) are the most prioritized activities from a public mental health perspective. From a healthcare perspective, there is a demand for new knowledge on pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions (73%). Respondents emphasized the importance of translating WPA educational materials into, at least, Spanish and French, and favored webinar live (80%) and key opinion lectures (66.7%) as the preferred formats for educational activities.

Summary: A study conducted between 2020 and April 2021 on 2274 Japanese citizens showed that COVID-19 has imposed a large and varied burden on the Japanese population, with females identified as a shared risk factor across all components of mental health burden during the pandemic. The results highlight the importance of flexible monitoring and mitigation strategies for mental problems according to the phase of the pandemic.

Summary: This study aimed to explore the moderating effect of different coping strategies and types of video game usage (professional [e-sport] or recreational) on the relationship between psychiatric symptoms and gaming disorder (GD). The results showed that the main effect of psychiatric symptoms was moderate to large in all models, while significant moderation effects were found in 4 out of 8 coping strategies.

Summary: Postpartum mood disorders are common in women shortly after childbirth, with a range of symptoms that can greatly impact the mother's health and family dynamics. Despite the unclear biological factors that contribute to these disorders, pharmacological treatments may be effective but come with risks. A better understanding of the biological factors involved could lead to improved clinical management and development of new therapeutic targets.

Summary: This study aimed to compare and analyze the differences in psychological characteristics between patients with X-linked ichthyosis (XLI), ichthyosis vulgaris (IV), psoriasis, and the general population, and to identify factors contributing to depressive, anxious, and irritable phenotypes. The results showed that patients with these three skin conditions had higher levels of mood disorder diagnoses and symptoms compared to the general population. Numerous factors were identified as significantly contributing to mood symptoms. Therefore, it is important to recognize mood/neurodevelopmental problems in ichthyosis and psoriasis in clinical practice and address the predisposing factors identified in this study to benefit the mental health of affected individuals.

Summary: This study considers four sex-linked genetic mechanisms that may influence sex-biased phenotypes related to atrial fibrillation (AF) and provides examples of each mechanism. The study highlights novel candidate risk genes and pathways that warrant further investigation in clinical and preclinical studies. Understanding the biological basis of sex differences in AF should allow better prediction of disease risk, identification of novel risk/protective factors, and the development of more effective sex-tailored interventions.
