Summary: This study found that canagliflozin inhibits the activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome and inflammation by upregulating Bif-1 and autophagy in a non-hypoglycemic manner. This discovery provides new insights for the treatment of pneumonia patients with concurrent diabetes.

Summary: The study revealed that pinocembrin could alleviate lung inflammatory response induced by LPS and BLM by regulating the TLR4-NF-kappa B signaling pathway and inhibiting the activation and assembly of NLRP3 inflammasomes. These findings provide insights into the anti-inflammatory mechanisms of pinocembrin and can guide future research in this area.

Summary: This study revealed the mechanism of NF-kappa B activation by the microRNA Nsp2 and discovered the interaction between the host protein DDX3 and Nsp2 for regulating inflammatory response. By inhibiting NF-kappa B activation, DDX3 prevents the inflammatory response, which is overridden by SAV Nsp2 to initiate the innate immune response.

Summary: A novel macrophage-preferable delivery peptide C10 has been identified as an effective therapeutic agent for sepsis, with C10-LRR significantly improving survival rates by inhibiting IL-6 and IL-1β production and regulating NF-κB and inflammasome signaling activation. Co-treatment with anti-TNF α antibody and C10-LRR showed a synergistic effect in an LPS-induced sepsis model.

Summary: In this study, it was found that HYP attenuated cadmium-induced kidney injury by suppressing NLRP3 inflammasome activation. This protective effect may be achieved by reducing kidney function indexes, decreasing the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines, reducing ROS production, and suppressing NLRP3 inflammasome activation. Additionally, HYP inhibited Cd-induced MAPK/NF-kappa B pathway stimulation.

Summary: The results of this study showed that (-)-Epicatechin (EC) effectively improved MSU-induced acute gouty arthritis by inhibiting NLRP3 inflammasome and the NF-kappa B signaling pathway. This suggests that EC may be a promising active ingredient for the prevention and treatment of gouty arthritis.

Summary: The study revealed that hederasaponin C (HSC) exerts a therapeutic effect against acute lung injury (ALI) by regulating the PIP2/NF-kappa B/NLRP3 signaling pathway. HSC inhibited the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines, reduced intracellular calcium levels, and suppressed the activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome.

Summary: Atorvastatin may suppress matrix degradation induced by TNF-alpha by inhibiting NLRP3 inflammasome activity and inducing autophagic flux. In addition, atorvastatin also inhibits the NF-kappa B signaling pathway. Inhibition of NLRP3 or knockdown of NLRP3 gene induced autophagic flux in the presence of TNF-alpha.

Summary: ATRA inhibits the migration, proliferation, and osteogenic ability of periodontal ligament stem cells (PDLSCs). This is achieved by promoting the expression of interleukin-1 beta (IL-1 beta) through activating NF-kappa B signaling and NLRP3 inflammasome, which disrupts the osteogenesis and mineralization of PDLSCs.
