Summary: Chronic fatigue, pain, and depression are common in patients with primary Sjogren's syndrome and have a significant impact on their quality of life. These phenomena are not only present in primary Sjogren's syndrome but also in other systemic inflammatory autoimmune diseases, cancer, and neurodegenerative diseases.

Summary: The study shows that anti-NuMA antibodies are mainly associated with pSS and SLE, and patients with these antibodies have less severe clinical profiles and require less treatment. Anti-NuMA antibodies may be a useful diagnostic marker when other auto-antibodies are negative and could indicate a good prognosis in autoimmune diseases.

Summary: This study dynamically assessed the characteristics of TCR diversity in primary Sjogren's syndrome (SS) patients and found that they had lower TCR diversity but a higher frequency of public clones. TCR variations associated with SS were correlated with dental caries, thrombocytopenia, hepatocholangeitis, and other factors. The TCR abnormalities remained during follow-up, and the sensitive subgroup showed increased TCR diversity after treatment.

Summary: Patients with pSS often experience symptoms of autonomic nervous system dysfunction, particularly fatigue. Current research suggests that the ANS may be a potential treatment target for pSS, with vagus nerve stimulation being considered as a potential therapy to improve fatigue symptoms.

Summary: The study aimed to improve the diagnosis and evaluation of childhood-onset primary Sjogren's syndrome (C-pSS) by summarizing its clinical and laboratory features. The results showed that positive anti-SSB and RF values may be independent potential protective factors of thrombocytopenia, while positive anti-SSB and RF values were independent risk factors of parotitis in patients with C-pSS.

Summary: In patients with primary Sjogren's syndrome, acupuncture did not significantly improve symptoms compared to placebo. However, interesting discoveries and possible underlying reasons were observed.

Summary: Approximately 2.19% of pSS patients lack sicca symptoms and mainly present with arthralgias, parotid enlargement, Raynaud's phenomenon, and persistent lymphadenopathy. Compared to the unmatched sicca controls, non-dryness pSS patients are younger and have a higher frequency of anti-Ro/SSA antibodies, ANA positivity, neutropenia, and thrombocytopenia. They also have a lower frequency of positive ocular tests compared to both unmatched and matched dryness patients. No differences were found between non-dryness pSS patients and both control groups regarding focus score or any other extraglandular manifestation.

Summary: Recent studies have shown that the oral microbiome in patients with Sjogren's syndrome (SS) differs significantly from that in healthy individuals. The composition and diversity of the oral microbiome are correlated with clinical features of SS, especially ductal structures and salivary flow, suggesting that the oral microbiome may serve as a potential diagnostic biomarker for SS.

Summary: This study found that patients with primary Sjogren's Syndrome have moderate resilience levels, which are not significantly different from healthy controls. Resilience was inversely related to mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, and positively associated with perceived quality of life and general health. Patients with greater resilience experienced less fatigue and led a more physically active lifestyle. However, resilience was not significantly related to factors such as age and disease characteristics.

Summary: Resistance training program was safe and effective in improving fatigue, pain, functional capacity, emotional aspects, vitality, and subjective perception of disease activity by the patient in women with pSS. After the training period, no between-group differences were found in the mental score, ESSDAI, SF36-Physical Aspects, SF-36-General Health, SF-36-Social aspects, and SF-36-Mental Health.

Summary: Sjogren's syndrome is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by dry mouth, dry eyes, and potential systemic damage. Current treatment mainly focuses on symptomatic relief, but the use of biological agents is becoming more prominent in improving therapeutic outcomes. Further research and analysis of biological therapy efficacy can help optimize treatment strategies for SS.

Summary: The study found that an ESSPRI score >= 5 (unsatisfactory symptom state) was associated with low salivary flow and depression. Most patients experienced clinically significant ESSPRI variation during follow-up, but researchers were unable to identify any variables associated with this change.

Summary: This study found that the TT genotype of the rs9514828 SNP in the BAFF gene reduces the likelihood of fatigue development in primary Sjogren's Syndrome patients. Further research is needed to validate these findings.

Summary: This article discusses the treatment of Sjogren's syndrome, focusing on new drug targets and the latest clinical trials. The study found that current trials overlook the non-glandular symptoms that often accompany the disease, such as fatigue, depression, and anxiety. Emerging biological agents targeting dryness and these symptoms have been studied and proven effective and safe. Additionally, it is suggested to create better grading systems to assess disease activity and severity, and the future of treatment may lie in gene, stem-cell, and tissue-engineering therapies.

Summary: This study aimed to develop a placebo response model for pharmaceutical clinical trials of primary Sjogren's syndrome and found that the efficacy of belimumab and cyclosporine A in single-arm trials was comparable to the placebo response. Therefore, no significant therapeutic advantage was observed for the tested treatments compared to placebo in this study.
