Summary: This study aimed to assess the awareness of hypertension and its determinants among a rural population of Jazan region, Saudi Arabia. The results showed that the prevalence of diagnosed hypertension increased with age, with women having a higher prevalence than men. Some participants had limited knowledge about their blood pressure, and some believed that pharmaceuticals are insufficient in curing hypertension. Therefore, it is necessary to increase awareness of hypertension in rural areas and assess patient adherence to prescribed medication.

The results showed that adults living with children more frequently avoided going to bars, crowded places, and using public transportation, and they were more worried about work and family conciliation and closure of education centers.

Summary: This study investigated the prevalence, sociodemographic characteristics, and comorbidities of Sjogren's syndrome (SS) patients in the Community of Madrid. The study found that the prevalence of SS among people aged 18 and above was 8.4/10,000, with more than half of the cases being primary SS (pSS) and one-third being associated with rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus. The most common comorbidities were hypertension, lipid disorders, osteoarthritis, and depression. The most commonly prescribed medications were nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, topical ophthalmic therapies, and corticosteroids.
