Summary: Emotion regulation deficits were found in PBD patients, particularly in tasks related to facial emotion recognition and affective language interference mediated by cognitive assignments. The study highlights the importance of developing novel psychotherapeutic interventions for this population.

Summary: Candida colonization is strongly associated with the likelihood of developing invasive candidiasis in critically ill patients with sepsis. The presence of Candida colonization has a high negative predictive value, but a low positive predictive value.

Summary: This meta-analysis study investigated the clinical value of securin expression in solid cancers. By analyzing published studies and performing bioinformatics analysis, it was found that high securin expression was positively correlated with unfavorable overall survival and lymph node metastasis. These findings suggest that securin may be associated with the prognosis of patients with solid cancers.

Summary: Acrylamide, a potential carcinogen, has been found in common dietary products and tobacco smoke. The European Commission has taken measures to reduce its content in food. The HBM4EU project shows an overall increase in acrylamide exposure between 2001 and 2017, but a decline in exposure values after 2018. Regional differences do not affect the overall time trend of exposure.

Summary: This study critically examines the reliability of the statistical tool REDFIT in identifying solar signals and finds that the significance thresholds used by researchers vary significantly. It also reveals that the thresholds used in the literature are generally less stringent than the critical false-alarm level outlined by REDFIT's creators. Moreover, the study highlights the lack of consideration of age model uncertainty in REDFIT's reliability in identifying solar periodicities, suggesting that the relationship between solar irradiance and climate identified by REDFIT analyses may not be as strong as previously suggested.

Summary: Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) are flame-retardants found globally in human bodies, with higher levels in North America and Asia, especially in the occupational population in Asia due to poorly controlled e-waste recycling operations. Despite most of the chemicals being phased out, no substantial decreases in PBDE concentrations in blood and breast milk have been observed globally. Future studies are needed to investigate the potential health risks associated with PBDE exposure.

Summary: The compliance with PRISMA-IPD statement and 4 IPD specific items in published IPD-MA stroke studies was found to be suboptimal. Factors such as journal impact factor, authorship, and study-related aspects were not significantly associated with compliance. Additional scrutiny measures may be needed to improve adherence to mandated guidelines in future studies.

Summary: This study utilized bibliometric analysis to explore the development, current research progress, hotspots, and emerging trends in endoscopic applications in early gastric cancer (EGC). The findings showed that research in this field has gradually increased over the last decade, with Japan and the Republic of Korea being the most productive countries. However, there is a lack of collaboration among countries, institutions, and authors, which should be addressed in future research. The main focus of research is endoscopic submucosal dissection, while the newest cluster is artificial intelligence (AI). Future research should focus on applying AI in endoscopy and its implications for clinical diagnosis and treatment of EGC.

Summary: Although colorectal cancer (CRC) is a serious cause of death and has a significant impact on patients' quality of life, there hasn't been any bibliometric research conducted on CRC. This study aimed to comprehensively analyze scientific publications on CRC using statistical and bibliometric techniques. A total of 122,717 publications on CRC were analyzed, and the top contributing countries were the USA, China, Japan, the UK, and Italy. The most prolific author, institution, and journal were also identified. The study also explored the correlations between the number of articles produced by countries on CRC and economic factors such as gross domestic product and human development index.

Summary: This meta-analysis evaluates the clinical efficacy and safety of collagenase Clostridium histolyticum (CCH) in treating Peyronie's disease (PD). The results show that the injection of CCH can significantly improve penile deformity in PD patients and to some extent alleviate PD symptoms. However, treatment-related adverse events (TRAEs) associated with CCH injection also exist with a certain risk.

Summary: This paper uses meta-analysis to analyze and evaluate 42 experimental studies on the application of technology in museum learning in the past decade. The results show that technology application has a moderate or higher effect on museum learning. The age of learners, the type of technology, the type of museum, and the visiting pattern of museum significantly affect the effectiveness of technology on museum learning. Therefore, museum institutions can learn from successful cases to accelerate the application of museum technology, prioritize the construction of digital resources, promote the specialization of museum technology application, and better leverage technology in museum education.

Summary: This meta-analysis failed to support the effectiveness of bundle interventions in reducing ICU delirium prevalence and duration, but demonstrated their effectiveness in reducing the proportion of patient-days with coma, hospital length of stay, and 28-day mortality. Larger randomized clinical trials are needed to further evaluate the impact of bundle interventions on ICU delirium and other clinical outcomes.

Summary: This research found that the number of systematic reviews published in Portuguese medical journals is steadily increasing, with the majority being reviews without meta-analysis. Most systematic reviews primarily focus on evaluating the effectiveness/efficacy of health interventions, and tend to have low-quality ratings.

Summary: This meta-analysis examined the incidence of intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH) in premature infants across different gestational age groups, revealing variation in rates with decreasing gestational age. Interestingly, Europe had lower reported IVH incidence compared to North America. Standardized reporting guidelines may be needed due to the high heterogeneity across studies.
