Summary: This review article discusses the role of mature microRNAs (miRNAs) in post-transcriptional regulation and their involvement in key cellular processes. It emphasizes the importance of miRNA storage and translocation in regulating cellular responses to stress and changing conditions. The article also highlights the shared principles of miRNA regulation in oxidative stress, tumorigenesis, viral infection, and synaptic plasticity.

Summary: This article proposes the concept of spatial-temporal energy management (ST-EM) for the energy management of base stations (BSs) in cellular wireless networks. It suggests managing the power consumption of BSs based on real-time prices and price differences among BSs. The article formulates the ST-EM of BSs as a large-scale mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) problem and proposes a heuristic approach to find a suboptimal solution. Numerical experiments validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Summary: This study utilizes 1.1 billion cellphone records from Shanghai to analyze population movement during morning peak hours. Through changes in population density, top traffic attraction zones were identified, showing a shift from homogeneous to heterogeneous density patterns. Travelers are more likely to originate from these zones during peak hours.

Summary: The biophysical properties of PDMS promote reprogramming of corneal keratocytes into stem-like cells, as seen in the higher expression of stem cell marker genes and endogenous stemness transcription factors compared to corneal fibroblasts. Additionally, PDMS regulates various signaling pathways and mechanisms related to mechanotransduction, cellular transition, and hypoxia, highlighting its potential in facilitating cellular reprogramming.

Summary: Under restricted iron conditions, aerobic Escherichia coli exhibited lower biomass yield, higher acetate accumulation, and increased activation of siderophore iron-acquisition systems. This led to lower ATP yield per glucose, reduced growth rate, and decreased TCA cycle activity and respiration. However, in excess iron conditions, E. coli showed high cellular energetics by utilizing pathways requiring iron-rich complex proteins, resulting in increased biomass production and greater antioxidant defenses.

Summary: Over-the-air computation (AirComp) is an effective technique for data collection and computation of large-scale wireless sensor measurements, but existing research often overlooks the correlation between different sensor signals. This study proposes an AirComp system for spatial-and-temporal correlated sensor signals, formulating an optimal policy design problem to achieve the minimum computation mean-squared error (MSE). By utilizing current and previously received signals, the optimal AirComp policy with the minimum computation MSE in each time step is developed, along with a low-complexity AirComp policy optimized to approach the performance of the optimal policy.

Summary: In this paper, a dynamic graph modeling approach for learning spatial-temporal representations for video summarization is proposed. The method captures spatial-temporal dependencies by exploiting object-level and relation-level information, and performs relational reasoning with graph convolutional networks to extract spatial-temporal representations for importance score prediction and key shot selection. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves superior performance against state-of-the-art video summarization methods.

Summary: The letter introduces a novel Spatial-Temporal Transformer (ST-Tran) for accurate cellular traffic prediction in communication networks. It utilizes temporal transformer block and spatial transformer block to learn and merge the temporal and spatial features of grid traffic flows, resulting in effective predictions. Experimental results on a large real-world dataset confirm the effectiveness of ST-Tran in traffic prediction.

Summary: This paper describes an innovative experimental setup that uses audio technology principles to subject adherent cells to rhythmic vertical vibrations. The setup's performance is evaluated using a new approach that combines three-axis acceleration measurements and particle tracking velocimetry. The findings show that mechanical stimuli have a significant impact on the size and orientation of F-actin filaments, as well as the accumulation of cells in the G1 phase of the cell cycle.

Summary: In order to address the issue of neglecting global spatial-temporal correlations in cellular traffic, we propose a novel multi-view spatial-temporal graph network (MVSTGN) that combines attention and convolution mechanisms for traffic pattern analysis. By exploring spatial-temporal characteristics from three perspectives, the MVSTGN successfully constructs an effective cellular traffic prediction strategy.
