Summary: The study reveals the important role of ubiquitin enzymes in therapeutic resistance in TNBC cells, suggesting that small molecule inhibitors can restore sensitivity to treatment. Specifically, PC3-15 was found to block auto-ubiquitination of HECTD3/UbcH5b and inhibit UbcH5b-mediated p62 ubiquitination, leading to increased sensitivity to lapatinib in TNBC.

Summary: Triterpenoid compounds from Poriae Cutis were separated and identified, with poricoic acid B showing higher anti-inflammatory activity compared to poricoic acid A, while dehydrotrametenolic acid and dehydroeburicoic acid had no anti-inflammatory properties. In addition, in vitro experiments demonstrated that poricoic acid B could decrease the production of cytokines in a dose-dependent manner.

Summary: Hepatitis delta virus (HDV) is a satellite RNA virus that requires hepatitis B virus (HBV) for replication. Co-infection with HDV/HBV leads to faster disease progression compared to HBV mono-infection. Developing antiviral therapies targeting HDV is crucial. Evaluating promising HDV-specific drugs and combination therapies, as well as exploring anti-HBV drugs with potential effects against HDV, are key areas of research.

Summary: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a liver disease caused by the accumulation of excess lipids. The research aimed to investigate the bioactive components of Formosan plants that could reduce lipid droplet accumulation. The study found that the methanolic extract of Elaeagnus glabra Thunb. showed excellent anti-LD accumulation activity and isolated several compounds with potential therapeutic effects.
