Summary: To reduce measurement errors caused by light source fluctuations, motor rotation instability, and environmental factors in real-time measurements using dual-rotating compensator Mueller matrix ellipsometry (DRC-MME), an error correction method based on a reference optical path is proposed. A modified Mueller matrix expression is derived by introducing the reference optical path of the DRC-MME system. Simulation analysis and experimental verification are performed on air, polarizer, and SiO2 samples using this method. The proposed method significantly reduces the absolute error and standard deviation of the Mueller matrix elements of SiO2 samples, improving the measurement accuracy of DRC-MME.

Summary: MC-based computerized TPS is important for improving treatment quality in external radiation therapy chains. Incorporating these systems into clinical TPS is challenging due to their long computation time. To address this problem, Phase Spaces (PhSp) can be utilized to reduce computation time while maintaining accuracy levels.

Summary: This paper presents a two-phase guidance and control algorithm to extend the range and improve the impact point accuracy of a 122-mm rocket using a fixed canards trajectory correction fuze. The proposed algorithm consists of a glide phase and a correction phase, which can increase the range and correct the range and drift errors of the rocket. By introducing a fixed canards trajectory correction fuze, the algorithm can double the rocket's range and improve its accuracy.

Summary: This research established mathematical models to correct pointing errors in optical imagers by analyzing assembly errors, calibrating coordinate systems, and building simulation models. After correction tests, it was found that the pointing accuracy of the imager increased significantly, meeting the system's performance requirements.

Summary: This study compares fixed and mixed effects models for predictive classification in multilevel data. The results indicate that fixed effects models perform similarly to mixed effects models in both simulations and practical applications. Researchers should consider the choice of predictors and data structure.

Summary: The recent publication of a new code of practice introduces output correction factors to correct detector response changes in small photon beams, which were validated and found to agree fully. Monte Carlo calculated output correction factors were shown to be within 1% of those reported in the code, demonstrating their suitability for small field dosimetry.

Summary: By recalculating plans with the multileaf collimator (MLC), it is possible to achieve comparable dosimetric overall quality in stereotactic radiosurgery for multiple brain metastases. However, MLC plans have advantages in treatment duration and dose, with an increased risk for brain radionecrosis.

Summary: This paper proposes an open-source tool for light propagation modeling and an easily accessible dataset to encourage communication among researchers and provide consistency in comparing various Monte Carlo (MC) method implementations. The PyXOpto implementation based on Python and PyOpenCL enables parallel computation on OpenCL-enabled devices. The results show good agreement between PyXOpto and the original MC implementation, with further validation revealing a noticeable bias introduced by the random number generator in the original implementation. Establishing a common dataset is highly important for the validation and development of MC codes for light propagation in turbid media.

Summary: The article discusses the importance of molar mass distribution (MMD) and chain length distribution (CLD) in polymerization processes, highlighting how different representations can be translated into each other and the potential biases from interchangeably using these representations. Case studies with increasing complexity in polymer products are used to illustrate the relevance of different CLD/MMD representations, providing guidelines for future studies to improve reliability in reporting.

Summary: This study investigated the relationship between field output correction factors (FOCFs) of Varian stereotactic cones for Edge detector(TM) and cone size, measurement setup, reference field size, and photon energy. The study found that FOCFs were dependent on cone size, SSD/SAD setup, and energy for small cones, but not on depth and reference field size.

Summary: This paper discusses the development of autopilot hardware for small fixed-wing air vehicles. The weight constraint is crucial in the development process, and the sensors and communication devices are selected based on the requirements and constraints of these air vehicles. The hardware's software is flexible and capable of incorporating complex estimation and control algorithms, along with hardware-in-loop simulations. Linear output feedback controllers are designed specifically for fixed wing micro and nano air vehicles. Successful flight trials are conducted to showcase the effectiveness of the autopilot hardware for small fixed-wing air vehicles.

Summary: This study proposes a corrective factor to overcome the dependence of clinically acquired diffuse reflectance (DR) spectra on the geometry of the optical probe and preliminary calibration measurements. The experimental validations show promising results in terms of fitting between the experimental and simulated calculation of the corrective factor, highlighting the importance of standardizing clinically acquired DR spectra in terms of absolute magnitudes.
