We study the structure of two-body s-wave bound states as well as resonances in the threshold energy region. We focus on the single-channel scattering where the scattering length and the effective range are given by real numbers. It is shown that, in the energy region where the effective range expansion is valid, the properties of resonances are constrained only by the position of the pole. We find that the compositeness defined through the analytic continuation of the field renormalization constant is purely imaginary and normalized for resonances. We discuss the interpretation of this quantity by examining the structure of the hadron resonance Lambda(c)(2595) in the pi Sigma(c) scattering. We show that the Lambda(c)(2595) resonance requires an unnaturally large effective range and hence it is not likely a pi Sigma(c) molecule.

Femtoscopic Study of N Ξ Interaction and Search for the H Dibaryon State Around the N Ξ Threshold

Summary: The study utilized the baryon-baryon potentials obtained from lattice QCD calculations to analyze the momentum correlation functions of p Xi(-) and Lambda Lambda pairs in high-energy nuclear collisions. The results accurately represented the correlation function data from pp and pPb collisions, confirming the validity of the S = -2 baryon-baryon potentials and providing support for the existence of the H dibaryon as a virtual state near the N Xi threshold.

Hadron-hadron potentials coupled to quark degrees of freedom for exotic hadrons

Ibuki Terashima, Tetsuo Hyodo

Summary: This article studies the properties of hadron-hadron and quark-antiquark potentials from the perspective of channel coupling. The results show that, for finite quark masses, the coupling to the two-hadron continuum leads to the imaginary part of the quark-antiquark potential. Furthermore, eliminating different degrees of freedom induces nonlocality and energy dependence in the effective potentials.

Structure of exotic hadrons by a weak-binding relation with finite-range correction

Tomona Kinugawa, Tetsuo Hyodo

Summary: The composite nature of a shallow bound state is studied using the weak-binding relation, and a range correction method is proposed to improve the estimation of the compositeness of physical states.

QCD and the strange baryon spectrum

Tetsuo Hyodo, Masayuki Niiyama

Summary: The unique role of the strange quark in QCD and the remarkable progress in the spectroscopy of baryons with strangeness have been highlighted. Accurate determination of the basic properties of strange baryons is achieved through experimental data and theoretical developments, leading to additions in the particle listings. Intensive discussions on the exotic internal structure of strange baryons have been stimulated by the developments in spectroscopy.
