The form factors in the radiative decay of J/psi to a scalar glueball are studied within quenched lattice QCD on anisotropic lattices. The continuum extrapolation is carried out by using two different lattice spacings. With the results of these form factors, the partial width of J/psi radiatively decaying into the pure gauge scalar glueball is predicted to be 0.35(8) keV, which corresponds to a branching ratio of 3.8(9) x 10(-3). By comparing with experiments, out results indicate that f(0)(1710) has a larger overlap with the pure gauge glueball than other related scalar mesons. DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevLett.110.021601

The glueball content of ηc

Renqiang Zhang, Wei Sun, Ying Chen, Ming Gong, Long-Cheng Gui, Zhaofeng Liu

Summary: This study presents the first lattice QCD derivation of the mixing energy and mixing angle between pseudoscalar charmonium and glueball. The results suggest a possible connection between the mixing and the large total width of the eta(c) meson. However, further experimental measurements are needed to alleviate the discrepancy between theoretical predictions and experimental results.

Influence of the deviation of the matter power spectrum at small scales on the global 21-cm signal at cosmic dawn

Yupeng Yang, Xiujuan Li, Gang Li

Summary: Astronomical measurements have strongly constrained the matter power spectrum at large scales, but only weakly at small scales. Deviation of the matter power spectrum at small scales can affect the formation of cosmological structures and the density of dark matter halos. Changes in the thermal history of the intergalactic medium (IGM) due to the annihilation of weakly interacting massive particles can leave imprints on relevant astronomical observations. By considering the impact of the deviation of the matter power spectrum at small scales on the global 21-cm signal, we explore the allowed parameter space of ms using the measured differential brightness temperature of the global 21-cm signal from the EDGES experiment at redshift z = 17.

Hadronic decays of the heavy-quark-spin molecular partner of T cc

Zhao-Sai Jia, Mao-Jun Yan, Zhen-Hua Zhang, Pan-Pan Shi, Gang Li, Feng-Kun Guo

Summary: Based on the hypothesis that the Tcc discovered at LHCb is a D0=D0 hadronic molecule, we studied the partial width of its heavy quark spin partner, the Tcc, as a D⠂0D⠂0 shallow bound state. We considered the contributions of the D⠂D and D⠂pi final state interactions and found that the rescattering corrections can significantly affect the decay widths. The total width of the Tcc was predicted to be about 41 keV.

Hunting for the hidden-charm molecular states with strange quarks in B and Bs decays

Qi Wu, Yan-Ke Chen, Gang Li, Shi-Dong Liu, Dian-Yong Chen

Summary: In this study, the production of molecular states composed of D-s(()*()) (D) over bar (()(s)*()) and D-s(()*()) (D) over bar (()(s)*()) in B and Bs decays is investigated using an effective Lagrangian approach. The branching ratios are estimated in terms of the model parameter alpha and the binding energy Delta E. The results show that the branching fractions are of the order of 10(-4) and the relative ratios are weakly dependent on the model parameter alpha and the binding energy Delta E. The predicted ratios are useful for the search of hidden-charm molecular states with strange quarks in future experiments at Belle II and LHCb.

Investigations on the light hadron decays of Zb (10610) and Zb (10650)

Qi Wu, Yuanxin Zheng, Shidong Liu, Gang Li

Summary: The light hadron decay processes of Z(b)(10610)/Z(b)(10650) were studied to understand their nature and decay mechanism. The branching ratios of Z(b)(10610)/Z(b)(10650) -> VP (V and P represent light vector and pseudoscalar mesons, respectively) were evaluated using an effective Lagrangian approach, taking into account the contributions of intermediate bottomed meson triangle loops. The Z(b)(10610) and Z(b)(10650) were considered as B*(B) over bar* + c:c: and B*(B) over bar* molecular states, respectively. The predicted branching ratios of Z(b)(10610) -> VP were in the order of 10-2, while the branching ratios of Z(b)(10610) -> VP were in the order of 10(-3). The dependence of these ratios on the mixing angle theta(P) was also investigated, which could be an important parameter for experiments. It is hoped that these calculations can be tested in future experiments.

Production of Xb via ?(5S, 6S) radiative decays

Xiao-Yun Wang, Zu-Xin Cai, Gang Li, Shi-Dong Liu, Chun-Sheng An, Ju-Jun Xie

Summary: We investigated the process upsilon(5S , 6S) -> X-gamma(b), assuming Xb to be a molecular state of B B & macr;*. Two types of meson loops, B(*)B & macr;(*) and B1B & macr;(*), were considered. To explore the rescattering mechanism, we calculated the relevant branching ratios using an effective Lagrangian based on heavy quark symmetry. The branching ratios for upsilon(5S , 6S) -> X-gamma(b) were found to be in the orders of 10(-7) to 10(-6). These significant branching ratios might be observed at BelleII, providing important insights into the inner structures of the exotic state Xb.

Quark orbital angular momentum of ground-state octet baryons

Jing-Feng Li, Cheng Chen, Gang Li, Chun-Sheng An, Cheng-Rong Deng, Ju-Jun Xie

Summary: In this study, the quark orbital angular momentum of the ground octet baryons is investigated using an extended chiral constituent quark model. The baryon wave functions are taken as a superposition of the traditional qqq and the qqqqq over bar higher Fock components. The coupling between the two configurations is estimated using the 3P0 quark-antiquark creation mechanism, and the coupling strength is determined by fitting the sea flavor asymmetry of the nucleon. The numerical results show that the quark angular momentum of the nucleon, E, A, and E hyperons range from 0.10-0.30. Additionally, the quark angular momentum of all hyperons is slightly smaller than that of the nucleon. The intrinsic quark orbital angular momentum can account for up to 60% of the spin fractions of the octet baryons in the present model.

Spectrum of the S-wave fully-heavy tetraquark states

Jie Zhang, Jin-Bao Wang, Gang Li, Chun-Sheng An, Cheng-Rong Deng, Ju-Jun Xie

Summary: This study systematically investigates the fully heavy tetraquark states using a nonrelativistic constituent quark model, taking into account the instanton-induced and one-gluon exchange interactions. The results show the existence of specific states at certain energy ranges. It suggests that the newly observed X(6900) state by LHCb may be an excited state, while the reported X(6600) state by CMS and ATLAS may be a ground state tetraquark.

Radiative decays of the neutral Zc(3900) and Zc(4020)

Xiao-Yun Wang, Gang Li, Chun-Sheng An, Ju-Jun Xie

Summary: In this study, we investigate the radiative decays of Z(c)(3900)/Z(c)(4020) to γ χ(cJ)(γ χ'(cJ)) (J=0,1,2), assuming a strong coupling between Z(c)(3900) and D(D)over bar*+c.c and Z(c)(4020) and D*(D)over bar* channels. By considering the contributions of intermediate charmed mesons triangle loops within an effective Lagrangian approach, we calculate the partial widths of these decays. The results show that the partial widths of Z(c)(3900)->γ χ(cJ) are a few hundred keVs, while the partial widths of Z(c)(4020)->γ χ(cJ) are tens of keVs. The predicted partial widths of Z(c)(3900)->γ χ'(c0,1) are less than 1 keV, mainly due to the small phase space. The calculated partial widths of Z(c)(4020)->γ χ'(c0,2) are usually smaller than 1 keV. For the Z(c)(4020)->γ χ'(c1) process, the obtained partial widths can reach up to the order of 10 keV. Additionally, we also investigate the dependence of these ratios between different decay modes on the masses of Z(c)(3900) or Z(c)(4020), which can be useful for experimental measurements. These calculations can be tested in future experiments.

The low-lying hidden- and double-charm tetraquark states in a constituent quark model with instanton-induced interaction

Jin-Bao Wang, Gang Li, Chun-Sheng An, Cheng-Rong Deng, Ju-Jun Xie

Summary: In this study, the spectrum of low-lying hidden- and double-charm tetraquark states is investigated using a nonrelativistic quark potential model. The instanton-induced interaction is considered as the residual spin-dependent hyperfine interaction between quarks. The numerical results show that the masses of several tetraquark states studied are close to those of experimentally observed candidates of exotic meson, suggesting the presence of corresponding compact tetraquark components in those observed states.

Summary: In this study, the axial charges of octet baryons were investigated using the extended chiral constituent quark model, taking into account all possible five-quark components. The numerical results were comparable to predictions from other theoretical approaches. Additionally, it was found that the light quark spins Delta u and Delta d in the Lambda baryon were of small but negative values, which were absent in the traditional three-quark model.

Production of Zcs in B and Bs decays

Qi Wu, Dian-Yong Chen, Wen-Hua Qin, Gang Li

Summary: In this study, we investigate the production of Z(cs)(+) in B+ and B-s(0) decays and evaluate the branching fractions using an effective Lagrangian approach. The estimated branching fractions of B-s(0) -> K- Z(cs)(+) and B+ -> phi Z(cs)(+) are of the order of 10(-4) and 10(-5), respectively. The ratio of these two branching fractions suggests that the B-s(0) -> K-+/- Z(cs)(-/+) -> K+ K- J/psi process may be a better way to search for Z(cs) and is accessible for further experimental measurements by the Belle II and LHCb Collaborations.
