We present the results of a Bayesian analysis of solar and KamLAND neutrino data in the framework of three-neutrino mixing. We adopt two approaches for the prior probability distribution of the oscillation parameters Delta m(21)(2), sin(2)theta(12), sin(2)theta(13): (1) a traditional flat uninformative prior; and (2) an informative prior which describes the limits on sin(2)theta(13) obtained in atmospheric and long-baseline accelerator and reactor neutrino experiments. In both approaches, we present the allowed regions in the sin(2)theta(13)-Delta m(21)(2) and sin(2)theta(12)-sin(2)theta(13) planes, as well as the marginal posterior probability distribution of sin(2)theta(13). We confirm the 1:2 sigma hint of theta(13) > 0 found in [G. Fogli et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 101, 141801 (2008).] from the analysis of solar and KamLAND neutrino data. We found that the statistical significance of the hint is reduced to about 0:8 sigma by the constraints on sin(2)theta(13) coming from atmospheric and long-baseline accelerator and reactor neutrino data, in agreement with [T. Schwetz, M. Tortola, and J. W. F. Valle, New J. Phys. 10, 113011 (2008).].

Neutrino-4 anomaly: Oscillations or fluctuations?

C. Giunti, Y. F. Li, C. A. Ternes, Y. Y. Zhang

Summary: The statistical significance of the large-mixing short-baseline neutrino oscillation signal claimed by the Neutrino-4 collaboration is found to be only about 2.7 sigma, and this result is influenced by the energy resolution of the detector. Through a more reliable simulation, this significance decreases to around 2.2 sigma.

Reactor antineutrino anomaly in light of recent flux model refinements

C. Giunti, Y. F. Li, C. A. Ternes, Z. Xin

Summary: This study investigates the reactor antineutrino anomaly in light of recent reactor flux models obtained with conversion and summation methods. The results show that the predictions of the Kurchatov Institute (KI) conversion model and the Estienne-Fallot (EF) summation model are consistent with the reactor rates and fuel evolution data, leading to a plausible solution to the reactor antineutrino anomaly.

Summary: This article examines the significance of the Gallium Anomaly and its explanation, finding severe tension in different theoretical calculations and suggesting the exploration of other possible solutions. It also presents a new global fit of nu(e) and (nu) over bar (e) disappearance data.

Nuclear neutron radius and weak mixing angle measurements from latest COHERENT CsI and atomic parity violation Cs data

M. Atzori Corona, M. Cadeddu, N. Cargioli, F. Dordei, C. Giunti, G. Masia

Summary: The COHERENT collaboration observed evidence of coherent elastic neutrino nucleus scattering and determined the weak mixing angle and average neutron rms radius of Cs-133 and I-127. They also found evidence of nuclear structure suppression and derived a data-driven measurement of the weak mixing angle. Additionally, they discussed the impact of using different theoretical parity non-conserving amplitudes and provided future prospects for similar measurements using larger detectors.

Large extra dimensions and neutrino experiments

Summary: The existence of large extra dimensions can be probed in various neutrino experiments. This study shows that the gallium anomaly can be explained by neutrino oscillations induced by the large extra dimension, but the preferred parameter space is in tension with other experimental data.

Short-baseline oscillation scenarios at JUNO and TAO

V. S. Basto-Gonzalez, D. Forero, C. Giunti, A. A. Quiroga, C. A. Ternes

Summary: We study the sensitivity of JUNO and TAO to oscillations induced by large extra dimensions (LEDs) and light sterile neutrinos. Our findings show that JUNO + TAO can provide competitive bounds on the parameter space for each scenario. Furthermore, our results suggest that JUNO + TAO can measure the parameters of LEDs with similar precision as standard oscillation parameters. Additionally, JUNO + TAO can effectively test the parameter space preferred by gallium experiments in the context of 3 + 1 mixing and discuss the possibility of distinguishing between the two scenarios.

Nonunitary neutrino mixing in short and long-baseline experiments

D. V. Forero, C. Giunti, C. A. Ternes, M. Tortola

Summary: Nonunitary neutrino mixing in the light neutrino sector can lead to new sources of CP violation and requires additional parameters to describe neutrino oscillations, yet no significant deviation from unitary mixing was observed in experimental data. By combining different data sets, constraints on nonunitarity parameters were obtained, and tension between T2K and NOvA in determining the Dirac CP-phase was observed.

New insights into nuclear physics and weak mixing angle using electroweak probes

M. Cadeddu, N. Cargioli, F. Dordei, C. Giunti, Y. F. Li, E. Picciau, C. A. Ternes, Y. Y. Zhang

Summary: Utilizing new data from the COHERENT experiment, we determined a new measurement of the average neutron rms radius of Cs-133 and I-127, further obtaining corresponding neutron skin values for the isotopes. The preference for models predicting large neutron skin values is supported by the results, and the slightly higher value of the low-energy weak mixing angle compared to the standard model prediction was observed for the first time.

Muon and electron g-2 and proton and cesium weak charges implications on dark Zd models

M. Cadeddu, N. Cargioli, F. Dordei, C. Giunti, E. Picciau

Summary: Theories beyond the standard model involving a sub-GeV-scale vector Z(d) mediator have been studied extensively to explain the experimental values of the muon and electron anomalous magnetic moments. Constraints on such a model have been derived from recent determinations of the anomalous muon magnetic moment at Fermilab, in addition to measurements of the proton and cesium weak charge Q(W) performed at low-energy transfer. A combined fit of experimental results yields precise limits on the mass and kinetic mixing parameter of the Z(d) boson.
