The S-wave Sigma(c)(D) over bar and Lambda(c)(D) over bar states with isospin I = 1/2 and spin S = 1/2 are dynamically investigated within the framework of a chiral constituent quark model by solving a resonating group method equation. The results show that the interaction between Sigma(c) and (D) over bar is attractive, which consequently results in a Sigma(c)(D) over bar bound state with a binding energy of about 5-42 MeV, unlike the case of the Lambda(c)(D) over bar state, which has a repulsive interaction and thus is unbound. The channel-coupling effect of Sigma(c)(D) over bar and Lambda(c)(D) over bar is found to be negligible owing to the fact that the gap between the Sigma(c)(D) over bar and Lambda(c)(D) over bar thresholds is relatively large and the Sigma(c)(D) over bar and Lambda(c)(D) over bar transition interaction is weak.

Prediction of possible DK1 bound states

Xiang-Kun Dong, Bing-Song Zou

Summary: The study indicates possible bound states around masses of 3110 MeV and 3240 MeV in similar (D) over bar K-1 systems, but the (D) over bar K-1 systems are not strong enough to form bound states.

Photoproduction γp → K+Λ(1690) in an effective Lagrangian approach

Neng-Chang Wei, Ai-Chao Wang, Fei Huang

Summary: In this study, a gauge-invariant model is constructed for the gamma p -> K+ Lambda(1690) reaction using a tree-level effective Lagrangian approach. The model aims to understand the production mechanisms and resonance contributions in this reaction. The results show that the s-channel nucleon resonance exchanges are necessary to describe the total cross-section data. The interaction current dominates the reaction near the threshold due to gauge invariance. The t-channel K exchange contributes significantly, while the contributions from the t-channel exchange and s-channel nucleon exchange are negligible. The s-channel exchange is responsible for the bump structure observed in the CLAS total cross-section data above the center-of-mass energy W approximately 2.7 GeV.

Photoproduction reaction γn → K*0Λ in an effective Lagrangian approach

Neng-Chang Wei, Yi-Ming Zhu, Fei Huang

Summary: In this study, the photoproduction reaction gamma n -> K*(0)Lambda is investigated based on the same reaction mechanism as gamma p -> K*(+)Lambda. The results show a good reproduction of the available differential cross-section data for gamma n -> K*(0)Lambda, and reveal the dominance of the t-channel K exchange.

Revisiting dark matter freeze-in and freeze-out through phase-space distribution

Yong Du, Fei Huang, Hao-Lin Li, Yuan-Zhen Li, Jiang-Hao Yu

Summary: By investigating dark matter production through freeze-in and freeze-out processes, significant differences can be found in the transition regime between the two processes if the annihilation of dark matter particles or the decaying mediator is neglected. Additionally, dark matter production may result in non-thermal phase-space distributions which could potentially impact structure formation at late times.

Prediction of a Narrow Exotic Hadronic State with Quantum Numbers JPC=0- -

Teng Ji, Xiang-Kun Dong, Feng-Kun Guo, Bing-Song Zou

Summary: Researchers have proposed a prediction in the hadronic molecular scenario based on heavy quark spin symmetry, identifying psi(4230), psi(4360) and psi(4415) as exotic states with quantum numbers matching D* over bar D-1, D* neutral charmonium-like states. The significance of the psi 0(4360) lies in being a new 0(--), never-before-observed hadron, which could shed light on vector mesons in the 4.2-4.5 GeV range and previously observed exotic Z(c) and P(c) states.

Evaluating Lyman-α constraints for general dark-matter velocity distributions: Multiple scales and cautionary tales

Keith R. Dienes, Fei Huang, Jeff Kost, Brooks Thomas, Hai-Bo Yu

Summary: This paper studies the relationship between general dark-matter velocity distributions and Lyman-alpha constraints. By recasting these constraints into easier-to-evaluate forms, we obtain Lyman-alpha bounds on different classes of dark-matter velocity distributions. We find that while these recasts yield similar results for relatively simple velocity distributions, they give dramatically different results for distributions involving multiple velocity scales. Therefore, caution should be exercised when using such recasts for complex dark-matter velocity distributions.

Coupled channel effects for the charmed-strange mesons

Wei Hao, Yu Lu, Bing-Song Zou

Summary: The systematic calculation of the spectra and hadronic decays of the D-s system was conducted within a coupled channel framework, with unquenched effects induced by the P-3(0) model. The model showed good agreement with experimental results, suggesting that the coupled channel effect provides a coherent description of D-s mesons. Detailed analysis was also provided for various excited states, including D-s0*(2317) and D-s1(2460).

Anticharmed strange pentaquarks from the one-boson-exchange model

Nijiati Yalikun, Bing-Song Zou

Summary: Inspired by the LHCb's discovery of hidden-charm pentaquarks, this study investigates the anticharmed strange pentaquarks Pc from the perspective of a hadronic molecule model and predicts the existence of three molecular bound states in a certain mass region. The study suggests that the Ds p invariant mass spectrum in the B0s -> nD??s p decay is a suitable place to detect the Pc pentaquarks.

Analysis of the γn → K+Σ-(1385) photoproduction

Ai-Chao Wang, Neng-Chang Wei, Fei Huang

Summary: In this study, the photoproduction reaction γn -> K+Σ(-)(1385) is investigated using an effective Lagrangian approach. It is found that only the inclusion of the resonance Δ(1930)5/2(-) can reproduce the available data. The generalized contact term and the t-channel K exchange dominate the background contributions.

Stasis in an expanding universe: A recipe for stable mixed-component cosmological eras

Keith R. Dienes, Lucien Heurtier, Fei Huang, Doojin Kim, Tim M. P. Tait, Brooks Thomas

Summary: The paper suggests the presence of a potential stasis in the expanding universe, where the relative cosmological abundances of different components can remain unchanged, and it is not a coincidence. This kind of stasis gives rise to a host of new theoretical possibilities across the entire cosmological time-line.

Photoproduction γp → K+Λ(1520) in an effective Lagrangian approach

Neng-Chang Wei, Yu Zhang, Fei Huang, De-Min Li

Summary: The data on differential cross sections and photon-beam asymmetries for the gamma p -> K+Lambda(1520) reaction have been analyzed using a tree-level effective Lagrangian approach. By introducing a minimal number of nucleon resonances, it was found that either the N(2060)5/2(-) or the N(2120)3/2(-) resonance can reproduce the experimental data well. Contact term and K exchange were found to make significant contributions, while the roles of K* and Lambda exchanges vary depending on the resonance content. Further measurements on target asymmetries are suggested to clarify the roles of these exchanges in the reaction.

Effects of N(2000)5/2(+) on gamma p -> K+Lambda(1405)

Yu Zhang, Fei Huang

Summary: The photoproduction reaction of gamma p -> K+Lambda(1405) is investigated using an effective Lagrangian approach to understand the reaction mechanism and extract resonance contents. The exchange of N(2000)5/2(+) resonance in the s channel successfully reproduces the latest experimental data, while at high energies, the cross sections are dominated by t-channel K exchange. Contributions from s-channel N and N(2000)5/2(+) exchanges are significant in the near-threshold energy region.
