A purifying process was used to remove the B2O3 from the oxidized B powder. The samples made with purified B powder show higher J(c). The improvement of the J(c) was attributed to the remove of the B2O3 from the B powder, and correspondingly, causing less MgO in the MgB2 during the later sintering.
