Summary: Pseudocirrhosis mimics liver cirrhosis in patients without chronic liver disease. This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluated the literature on pseudocirrhosis, investigating its epidemiology and clinical features. The study found that breast cancer was the most common associated condition, with most patients presenting clinical signs of portal hypertension and ascites. The median time from pseudocirrhosis diagnosis to death was a few months, and the use of anticancer drugs was associated with pseudocirrhosis development.

Summary: High expression of TIGIT is associated with poorer prognosis in East Asian patients with solid cancers. TIGIT is coexpressed with genes encoding immunostimulators, immunoinhibitors, chemokines, chemokine receptors, and major histocompatibility complex (MHC), especially in gastroesophageal cancer. TMB and MSI are also associated with TIGIT upregulation in diverse kinds of cancers.

Summary: This study evaluated the safety of neoadjuvant immunotherapy. The results showed that neoadjuvant ICIs plus chemotherapy had a higher incidence of all-grade and high-grade adverse events compared to neoadjuvant ICIs alone. However, neoadjuvant immunotherapy had a low rate of progressive diseases, surgical delays, and deaths.

Summary: Through a meta-analysis, it was found that patients with lower Geriatric Nutritional Risk Index (GNRI) had a higher risk of worse overall survival, recurrence-free survival/progression-free survival, and cancer-specific survival in urological cancer patients. GNRI has significant predictive value in assessing the prognosis of UCs patients.

Summary: This study evaluated the impact of CSN5 levels on the survival and clinicopathological parameters of digestive system neoplasm patients. The results showed that high expression of CSN5 was associated with poorer overall survival and worse clinicopathological features in digestive system tumors. However, there was no correlation between CSN5 expression and age, gender, tumor stage, tumor size, or vascular invasion.

Summary: This systematic review and meta-analysis study demonstrates that the systemic inflammation index (SII) on admission is significantly associated with disease severity and mortality in Covid-19 patients. Therefore, this inflammatory biomarker derived from routine hematological parameters can be helpful for early risk stratification in this group.

Summary: Gastric cancer is a common and deadly cancer worldwide. Recent studies have shown inconsistent conclusions about the predictive power of myosteatosis for overall survival in patients with gastric cancer. This meta-analysis aims to systematically quantify the predictive power of myosteatosis for overall survival in the gastric cancer setting.

Summary: This study aims to investigate the incidence and distribution of adverse events in immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) for digestive system cancers and provide a reference for their safe, rational, and effective use. The results showed that the incidence, characteristics, and distribution of adverse events vary depending on the cancer type, treatment modality, and agent type.
