Summary: The computational exploration of fluorine-containing substituents in valuable synthetic cycloadditions was prompted by their importance in drug effectiveness. Diels-Alder or 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions of typical reactants involving fluorine-containing substituents (F, CF3, and COCF3) were studied, and the inductive and conjugative effects were found to influence the reactions differently. These results serve as a guide for the design and use of cycloadditions to introduce fluoro and trifluoromethyl substituents in synthetic processes.

Summary: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a highly aggressive form of breast cancer with high metastasis rates due to multidrug resistance. While platinum-based antitumor agents have severe side effects, nickel and palladium complexes are being investigated as potentially safer alternatives. Among these, palladium derivatives have been found to be safer and effective inhibitors of TNBC cell adhesion and migration.

Summary: The importance of aerobic conditions in promoting the reactivities that give functionalized ligands NC(X)N has been established. Furthermore, the significance of oxidation for C-heteroatom bond formation was further deduced from the reaction of the structurally authenticated complex (NCN)Ni(OSiMe3) with CuBr2 to give the C-O functionalization product NC(OSiMe3)N.

Summary: The study demonstrates differences in stabilizing cationic species and electron density between the POCN and POCOP platforms, with POCN showing better stabilization and higher electron richness at the Ni(II) center. The relative nucleophilicities of pyridine, bipyridine, and phenanthroline were determined to be Cl- > Br- > phen > bipy >> py > MeCN based on halide substitution equilibria experiments.
