Summary: Adding Ag+ and Zn2+ ions to thiols can lead to the formation of multivalent metal coordination polymers with high reactivity, capable of catalyzing the transphosphorylation of an RNA-model compound. It was demonstrated that the catalytic activity could be modulated by changing the length of the hydrophobic alkyl chain.

Summary: A simple procedure for intermolecular enantioselective palladium-catalyzed decarboxylative allylation of beta-ketoacids is described. The method uses allyl carbonates as coupling substrates and allows direct access to alpha-allylated ketones with newly formed quaternary stereocenters. Experimental results suggest the transformation proceeds via an inner-sphere mechanism rather than the traditional outer-sphere process, and the reaction demonstrates potential usefulness in the enantioselective synthesis of (+)-adalinine.

Summary: In this study, a self-assembled macrocyclic Cu(II) complex was designed as an effective catalyst for high-energy-density Li-S batteries. By improving the efficiency of the liquid-solid sulfur redox reaction, the capacity, cycling stability, and energy decay rate of the batteries were enhanced. This research provides important insights for the design of homogenous catalysts and the promotion of high-energy-density Li-S batteries.

Summary: A series of bis-amidinate complexes were synthesized using the pyridyl functionalized amidinate ligand, which exhibited fully supported metallophilic interactions. These metalloligands were then used as building blocks for the self-assembly of one-dimensional heterobimetallic coordination polymers. Interestingly, the resulting coordination polymers showed a zig zag shape in the solid state. Linear coordination geometry was achieved by investigating other connectors such as M'(acac) (M'=Ni, Co) (acac=acetylacetonate). The obtained compounds were found to be linear heterobimetallic coordination polymers with a metalloligand backbone featuring fully supported metallophilic interactions.

Summary: It has been shown that atomically precise metal clusters, such as Pd1Au8(PPh3)(8)(2+), can play a crucial role in the catalytic efficiency of the Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling process. The cooperative effect between the central Pd atom and the peripheral Au atoms in the Pd1Au8(PPh3)(8)(2+) cluster has been identified as a key factor in controlling the cross-coupling reaction. By incorporating these clusters into a porous resin, a heterogeneous catalyst called Pd1Au8@Resin has been developed, which demonstrates enhanced catalyst recyclability and continuous performance in the cross-coupling reaction.

Summary: The coordination-driven self-assembly of metallacages has attracted significant interest due to their 3D layout and cavity-cored nature, making them particularly attractive for studying luminophores and inducing novel photophysical characters. By incorporating ligands displaying aggregation-induced emission (AIE) into metallacages, favorable photophysical properties have been achieved, leading to the development of supramolecular luminophores for diverse applications in fields such as sensing, biomedicine and catalysis.

Summary: In this study, 2D Co(II) coordination polymers (CP-1) with immobilized terminal CoBrn (CoBr2 and CoBr3) sites on the framework were synthesized at the gram level. As a special heterogeneous catalyst, CP-1 exhibited high regioselectivity (beta:alpha>99:1) and stereoselectivity (only E configuration) in the hydroboration of alkynes. The reaction conditions were mild and suitable for a wide range of substrates (31 examples). Moreover, the heterogeneous catalyst could be recycled for at least five times.

Summary: New lanthanide coordination polymers were designed and synthesized for use as catalysts, with excellent catalytic performance in CO2 cycloaddition reactions. The frameworks exhibited multiple Lewis and Bronsted acidic and Lewis basic sites, leading to promising turnover numbers and frequencies with high conversion and selectivity. Ib and IIb also demonstrated robustness over multiple cycles of catalysis, showing potential as catalysts for other epoxides.
