Summary: CaYGaO4:Bi3+,Tb3+ phosphor doped with trivalent bismuth and trivalent terbium ions was prepared, and the results showed that luminescence can be achieved through energy transfer between bismuth and terbium ions. The emission color of the phosphor can be tuned by adjusting the concentration of terbium ions. CaYGaO4:Bi3+,Tb3+ exhibits good temperature sensing properties.

Summary: Rare-earth doped oxysulfide phosphors with various morphologies were synthesized by adjusting the pH values of the reaction solution. The morphology control led to changes in the band gap energy and luminescence performance of the phosphors. The samples with spherical and cuboid-like microstructures exhibited stronger luminescence intensity. Additionally, the phosphors showed different emission performance when excited by UV light radiation and an electron beam.

Summary: Tb3+/Mn4+ co-doped Sr2LuTaO6 phosphors were successfully synthesized by a solid-state method. Under UV excitation, the phosphors exhibited bright green and red lights. The energy transfer from Mn4+ to Tb3+ enhanced the emission intensity of Tb3+ ions. Furthermore, the phosphors showed potential for optical thermometry based on luminescence intensity ratio technology.

Summary: In this study, a series of Sm3+/Tb3+ co-doped CaMoO4 phosphors were synthesized by an efficient method of microwave-assisted heating. The research focused on the characterization and performance analysis of the synthesized phosphors. The results showed that the light-emitting region of the phosphors can be controlled by adjusting the molar ratio of Sm3+/Tb3+ ions, making them a promising material for color-tunable phosphors in white-LEDs.

Summary: This study investigates the excitation wavelength dependent photoluminescence characteristics and white light generation in europium and terbium doped yttrium borate phosphors. Results show that adjusting the concentrations of europium and terbium can produce multi-color emissions, including white light. The optimal combination was found to be 3 mol% Eu and 5 mol% Tb co-doped YBO3 for white light emission.

Summary: Energy transfer from Ce3+ to Tb3+ is feasible in energy transition processes for optical devices, especially phosphor-converted white LEDs. However, most co-doped phosphors with Ce3+ and Tb3+ have weak absorption under near-ultraviolet and blue light excitation, limiting their use as near-ultraviolet or blue LEDs. In this study, novel energy transfer luminescent materials, Ba6La2Al3ScO15:Ce3+,Tb3+, were synthesized and showed promising properties for near-ultraviolet LEDs.

Summary: Y2O3:Eu3+,Tb3+,Ce3+ phosphors were prepared using the co-precipitation method, and the luminescence performance was significantly improved by doping with appropriate amounts of Tb3+ and Ce3+. The study also revealed that Tb3+ could act as a carrier to transfer energy for Ce3+-Eu3+, eliminating metal-metal charge transfer. Moreover, the emission peak position of the phosphor shifted towards the blue region with increasing doping concentration of Tb3+ and Ce3+.

Summary: This article investigates the photoluminescence (PL) and thermoluminescence (TL) properties of ZrO2 phosphors doped with various rare-earth ions. The study analyzes the crystal structure, thermal properties, morphology, and emission bands of the phosphors. It is found that the doping ions significantly affect the intensity of the emission peaks, and high-dose irradiation leads to the appearance of new emission peaks. The phosphors also exhibit natural TL emission that can be eliminated by heating treatment.
