By changing the incident angle, the authors demonstrate a surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) deflector based on the particular properties of a nano-scale double-slit. The electromagnetic wave along one direction on the metal surface can be enhanced or suppressed, which can be achieved with appropriate structural parameters. Numerical results of the investigated structure are presented through finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulation. (C) 2010 Published by Elsevier B.V.
