Summary: This study investigated the effects of different dairy matrices on postprandial lipid, glycemic, and appetite responses over 8 hours. The results showed that different dairy products with varying matrices had an impact on lipid responses, but had minimal effects on apoB-48 responses.

Summary: Bone mineral mass, geometry, and microstructure are important determinants of fracture risk, being influenced by both bone accrual during growth and bone loss later in life. Factors such as genetics and dietary intake, particularly calcium and protein from dairy products, play a significant role in peak bone mass attainment. Avoiding dairy products, especially during growth stages, may increase the risk of fracture.

Summary: This review discusses the importance of calcium in dairy products, the dynamic partitioning of calcium between different phases, and the impact of processing on calcium speciation and distribution. Approaches and analytical methods for studying calcium partition and speciation are highlighted, along with the significant role of calcium in the processing of dairy products.

Summary: This study analyzed the nutrient content of different flavored dairy products and found that most of them are high in calcium and vitamin B2, moderate in potassium, but low in magnesium. Some products can be labeled as a "source of calcium" or a "source of vitamin B2". These flavored dairy products can be considered as nutritious alternatives that are affordable and culturally acceptable.

Summary: This study suggests that the relationship between genetic predisposition to higher BMI and actual BMI may be mediated by disinhibition, emotional eating, and hunger, and can be moderated by flexible restraint. These findings provide important insights into the mechanisms underlying genetic predisposition to higher BMI.

Summary: This review examines the feasibility of using deep brain stimulation (DBS) for the treatment of anorexia nervosa and obesity. The findings suggest that DBS may be a promising solution for treatment-refractory anorexia, but further studies are needed to confirm its usefulness for obesity treatment.

Summary: Obesity and obesity-related diseases are global pandemics. Peptide chemistry and molecular biology have identified peptides that regulate appetite and energy metabolism. Peptide-related drugs have powerful anti-obesity effects with fewer adverse effects. Liraglutide and other candidates have been developed as anti-obesity drugs, and hybrid peptides have been designed to enhance appetite suppression.

Summary: In this meta-analysis, an inverse association between circulating AGEs and body mass index among adults was observed, while the association between dietary AGEs and body mass index was inconclusive. Individuals with obesity had lower levels of circulating AGEs compared to those without obesity. The type of AGEs may contribute to the heterogeneity observed.

Summary: This systematic review and meta-analysis investigated the differences in gastrointestinal hormone response to food intake between individuals with and without obesity. The findings suggest that individuals with obesity have lower concentrations of total ghrelin and total peptide YY compared to controls, which may contribute to lower postprandial hunger ratings. However, there were no significant differences in other gastrointestinal hormones or appetite ratings. The study highlights the need for more comprehensive research to determine if these differences are a cause or consequence of obesity.
