Summary: This article presents the historical institution, evolution, and innovations of nutrition support teams (NSTs) over the past six decades. It further discusses the transition to transdisciplinary and patient-centered care, NST membership, leadership, and the future of NSTs. NSTs were established to address the need for safe implementation and management of parenteral nutrition, and the multidisciplinary model was adopted by the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) in 1976. The provision of nutrition support in hospitals has been influenced by changes in payment systems and funding, and there has been an adaptation towards transdisciplinarity and incorporation into other healthcare teams. Future innovations aim to provide the right nutrition support for patients at the right time, recognizing it as a human right.

Summary: This study found that health professionals generally view the provision of nutrition interventions as an essential part of upper gastrointestinal cancer patient's treatment, with telephone-based internal health service models of nutrition care seen as the most acceptable model of delivery. Mobile application-based delivery methods were deemed too challenging for the current population serviced by these clinicians.

Summary: This study established a seven-month quality control circle to improve the performance of home enteral feeding pumps (EFP) and examined its effect on the nutritional state and quality of life in discharged CRC patients. The results showed that the quality control circle significantly improved the pass rate of nutrition pump operation and improved the patients' nutritional state and quality of life.

Summary: This study evaluated the use, complications, and nutrition delivery associated with parenteral nutrition (PN) in adult critically ill patients, especially when used early and as the initial route. The results showed that early PN administration was safe and provided adequate nutrition delivery. Additional enteral nutrition (EN), when possible, may optimize protein requirements for patients who received initial PN.

Summary: Advancements in gastric cancer treatments have led to significant survival benefits, with encouragement for perioperative chemotherapy and personalized therapeutic approaches. Well-nourished patients show better tolerance and response to oncologic treatments. Despite some heterogeneity in current research, there is a need for specific evidence-based guidelines to be established for appropriate nutritional support of gastric cancer patients.
