Summary: The study found that using route maps composed of all curves led to higher user performance, while route maps based on a hybrid system were also well received by users. Adding appropriate curves to route maps can improve usability, cognitive memory, and subjective evaluation, while including travel time information effectively enhances users' decision-making during route planning.

Summary: Three distinct spatial habitats based on multiparametric physiologic MRIs were identified to predict survival rates in patients with posttreatment glioblastoma. Short-term increases in hypervascular cellular habitat and hypovascular cellular habitat were significantly associated with shorter progression-free survival (PFS) after concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT). Combining with clinical predictors, habitat risk score showed good predictive performance for PFS and overall survival (OS), stratifying patients into different PFS groups.

Summary: Haptoglobin is a crucial blood plasma glycoprotein with potential as a biomarker for various diseases. Its protein forms can reflect individual susceptibility to different diseases. Research suggests that haptoglobin proteoforms could serve as a potential specific plasma biomarker for certain conditions like GBM.

Summary: In this study, we investigated the expression and biological activity of proNGF in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). The results showed that proNGF was significantly overexpressed in GBM and could stimulate cancer cell growth. Therefore, further investigations are needed to confirm the potential of proNGF as a clinical biomarker and therapeutic target.

Summary: Background Recurrence is common in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) due to residual infiltrative cells in the tumor margin. Standard therapy for GBM is ineffective and anti-angiogenic treatment is a common approach for recurrent GBM. However, resistance to anti-angiogenic agents remains a challenge. Therefore, this study aimed to identify novel biomarkers that can predict therapeutic response to anti-angiogenic agents in patients with recurrent GBM.

Summary: Extracellular vesicles (EVs) have been considered as potential targets for glioblastoma (GBM) therapy, playing vital roles in the development, progression, angiogenesis, and other processes of GBM. The exact molecular mechanisms and roles of EVs in GBM are still unclear, but clarifying them could provide a basis for future GBM treatment.

Summary: The approach presented involves constructing structure-preserving emulators for Hamiltonian flow maps and Poincare maps based directly on orbit data. It is intended for moderate-dimensional systems, particularly for long-term tracing of fast charged particles in accelerators and magnetic plasma confinement configurations. The method utilizes multi-output Gaussian process regression on scattered training data, enforcing the symplectic property through the choice of matrix-valued covariance function for long-term stability.

Summary: Glioblastoma (GBM) is an aggressive cancer with limited treatment options. Recent research on tumor microenvironments (TME) has shown that extracellular vesicles (EVs), specifically exosomes, play a crucial role in GBM progression and carry important biomarkers. Exosome-based GBM examination offers a non-invasive and early diagnostic method, as well as potential therapeutic opportunities for GBM treatment.

Summary: This paper provides a quantitative estimate for the first N Lyapunov exponents for random perturbations of a natural class of 2N-dimensional volume-preserving systems showing strong hyperbolicity in a large but noninvariant subset of the phase space. The setting includes systems of coupled standard maps, both in 'weak' and 'strong' coupling regimes.

Summary: This study successfully classified GBM patients into short-term and long-term survival groups using specific features of rsFC, with high accuracy and sensitivity. The results suggest that rsFC may predict GBM survival, and machine learning analytics could be applied as radiomic biomarkers for GBM.

Summary: Texture analysis based on ADC map is useful for predicting prognosis of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) and distinguishing texture features in stroke subtypes. The study found that texture features have good performance in predicting prognosis of AIS patients, and there are differences in texture features between large artery atherosclerosis (LAA) and small artery occlusion (SAO) subtypes.

Summary: Over the past decades, non-invasive imaging methods, particularly MRI, have become increasingly popular in neuroscience for studying brain structure and function. The use of MRI has not only improved surgical procedures and implants, but also enhanced diagnosis and monitoring for brain disease. Collaborating experts aim to guide researchers and veterinarians in using this imaging technology to improve the well-being and experimental outcomes for laboratory animals.
