Summary: It is important to understand human behavior through situational dimensions represented by human beings. The Riverside Situational Q (RSQ) is a tool for measuring the psychological properties of situations, but its limited item count of 90 in the RSQ-4 may limit its use for researchers employing a computational approach. This article presents a corpus of 10,000 artificially generated situations that closely correspond to the RSQ-4, produced using the state-of-the-art language model GPT. The dataset's validity is confirmed through inter-judge reliability and four experiments on large datasets, supporting its quality. Researchers interested in measuring situational dimensions in textual data may find this dataset and the associated code for generating 100 situational dimensions useful.

Summary: Despite knowledge about epidemic processes in various systems, little is known about contagion behavior in individual productivity and success. A new study introduces an epidemic model to understand the contagion of scholarly productivity and YouTube success. The analysis reveals synchronized bursts in individual productivity and success, likely driven by sustained flows of information within networks.

Summary: This study examined the relationship between women's motivation for seeking social status through prestige and dominance, and fertility probability. The results showed that women were more inclined to pursue status through prestige rather than dominance when conception was most likely, and were more likely to experience dominance contest losses during this time. These findings provide important insights into the biological correlates of women's status seeking.

Summary: This paper presents a straightforward and adaptable mathematical approach for assessing both scholar-level citation counts and journal prestige, which are widely recognized as crucial indicators of scholarly output. The methodology is showcased through a user-friendly functional framework that can cater to a diverse range of specific bibliometric requirements or preferences by incorporating various parameter values to reflect different beliefs regarding the relative importance of citation counts and journal prestige.

Summary: The study reveals that an increase in family size has negative effects on the labor supply of mothers but not fathers, with fathers in Taiwan more likely to switch to occupations with lower prestige scores in response to larger family sizes. However, this negative effect on occupational prestige is not observed in Mainland China due to low occupational mobility.

Summary: This study investigates the electrocatalytic performance of palladium complex-based carbon composites derived from functionalized N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) in an acidic medium. The results show that the developed electrocatalysts exhibit improved charge transfer resistance and lower overpotential compared to palladium-NHC complexes. Furthermore, these electrocatalysts demonstrate excellent stability for up to 10 hours with minimal efficiency decrease, as confirmed by post-stability linear sweep voltammetry analysis, indicating intact structural and molecular properties.

Summary: This study demonstrates that coupling the LSPR of a gold nanowire array with the optical bound states in the continuum (BIC) of a dielectric double-layer grating can significantly increase the Q factor of LSPR. The resonance frequencies and Q factors of the hybrid modes can be modulated and optimized by varying relevant structural parameters. This coupled system provides a new platform for improving the figures of merit (FoMs) of LSPR-based refractive index sensors.

Summary: The project aimed to understand cultural transmission by testing the external validity of constructs from existing evolutionary models using self-reported methods. The study found that native-foreigner mixed-couples adopted an integrative orientation, blending both cultural identities. Acculturation was driven by conformity to the majority or random learning, and influenced by emotional bounds embedded in individual cultural identity, with potential changes according to specific cultural traits being examined.

Summary: This paper examines the impact of price-related factors on consumer choices in the Chinese luxury watch market and investigates the positive prestige effect and negative substitution effect on consumer preferences. The study finds that there is heterogeneity in the prestige effect at both the consumer and brand levels, with a U-shaped relationship between family income and prestige sensitivity. Top-tier luxury watch brands demonstrate a stronger prestige effect compared to lower-tier brands. What-if simulations suggest that brand promotion and enhanced prestige are advantageous for top-tier brands. Income escalation benefits top-tier luxury watch brands, but its impact on lower-tier brands is intricate.

Summary: Professional choices have an impact on one's perceived honesty, as individuals tend to choose professions that allow them to be recognized as honest. There is a tradeoff between income and honesty perceptions, with employees compensating for the costs associated with working in a low honest profession by increasing their income.

Summary: In this study, open cell foam materials were used as supports for Pd/C, Siliacat-Pd(0), Pd(ii)-DPP catalyst powders, and Pd(0) NPs, allowing leaching of active species for the Suzuki-Miyaura C-C coupling reaction. It was found that trace amounts of Pd in the range 30-300 ppb were sufficient for the reaction, while maintaining a low pressure drop.

Summary: Co-branding is a favored brand leveraging strategy that is beneficial for both brands involved. However, there is a lack of research on co-branding in masstige marketing and luxury branding. Through quantitative research and survey-based experiments, we found that co-branding is a desirable strategy in eliciting positive responses from luxury consumers. Additionally, we discovered that co-branding does not harm the prestige and desirability of the luxury brand partner. This research contributes to understanding consumer evaluations and the spillover effect of co-branding in luxury markets, providing actionable implications for luxury brand managers.
