Summary: A polymer blend, similar to metal alloys, is created by blending two polymers together to obtain a material with different physical properties. The research investigates the impact of blending a flexible insulating polymer with rigid semiconducting polymers on charge transport characteristics. It finds that the electrical properties of the films are closely related to the polymer blend ratio, vertical segregation, and crystalline structures, and that the polymer backbone structure and blend ratio affect hole transport and electron transport differently. These findings are valuable for optimizing semiconductor-insulator polymer ink formulations for printed electronics.

Summary: This letter proposes a novel compensation method to eliminate the impact of parasitic inductances on the measurement accuracy of on-state voltage of power semiconductor devices in operating converters. It is an online and noninvasive method by measuring the output current of inverter and on-state voltage of power device only. The impact of parasitic inductances and its compensation are verified experimentally through a traction inverter system.

Summary: A new method for measuring the on-state voltages of all power semiconductors in a single-phase inverter was proposed, utilizing a circuit connected to the middle point of each phase leg. This method offers advantages of reduced circuit complexity, size, cost, and ease of connection. The concept was demonstrated through a case study on a single-phase full-bridge inverter.

Summary: The implied voltage iV(OC) is a crucial parameter for evaluating the electronic quality of solar cell test samples, but it can be significantly influenced by various factors such as sample properties and interface quality. This study demonstrates that even minor changes in sample properties can result in a notable deviation in iV(OC), and when multiple influences are combined, this difference can further amplify.

Summary: This letter suggests a simplified converter-level on-state voltage measurement circuit for power semiconductor devices, which does not require an external power supply and self-power circuit. It maintains plug-and-play feature, comparable measurement accuracy, and dynamic response as other reported methods. A proof-of-concept prototype has been developed and tested for a three-phase inverter application.

Summary: The paper demonstrates the assessment of depletion width and doping profile at the nanoscale of individual microwire core-shell light-emitting devices using capacitance-voltage measurements. A statistical study shows consistency in doping profile values between individual microwires and assemblies of hundreds of wires on the same sample. The robustness of the method is further demonstrated on four epitaxial structures with different growth and doping conditions, and electron-beam-induced current and secondary electron profiles are used to validate depletion region width and position in the core-shell structure.

Summary: It was found in this study that resistance fluctuation in RRAM devices has a positive correlation with resistance states and reading time. It is recommended to use a reading voltage below 0.3V to avoid resistance degradation. An analytical formula to predict resistance spread as a function of time, resistance, and read voltage was derived based on quantitative analysis.

Summary: The study investigates the source of charge carriers within pristine organic semiconductors using OMISCAP devices and demonstrates the impact of metal-semiconductor junctions on the C-V characteristics of MISCAP devices. The findings suggest that contact-induced charge injection from the metal to the semiconductor is the predominant source of charge carriers in a pristine organic semiconductor rather than inadvertent doping.

Summary: This research study demonstrates the application of spectral modulation interferometry (SMI) for in situ nanoscale characterization of corrosion of an aluminum alloy. SMI provides accurate real-time quantification of surface topography evolution during corrosion with high sensitivity and rapid image acquisition. The results validate the applicability of SMI for in situ nanoscale characterization of a corroding alloy surface.

Summary: This research introduces a nanopatterned electron transport layer that overcomes the trade-off between passivation quality and series resistance in traditional polymer passivation layers. Combining the nanopatterned electron transport layer with a dopant-free hole transport layer improves the efficiency and stability of perovskite solar cells.

Summary: An effective intensity-based reference using N-15 tryptophan as an external reference for H-1-N-15 2D NMR experiments is presented in this study to quantify competitive protein adsorption onto nanoparticle surfaces. The referencing system validated the binding capacity of single protein onto gold NPs and accurately quantified signals from protein mixtures. The proposed Trp reference enables the monitoring of competitive adsorption of different proteins in situ and in real time, highlighting the importance of studying protein-NP interactions in protein mixtures using H-1-N-15 2D NMR techniques.
