Summary: Clinical reports have emphasized the increasing threat of multidrug resistance due to antibiotic resistance. Research has shown that organic compounds now require metal ions for bio-transformation in order to enhance their potentiality against resistance. Metal based drugs have played an imperative role in developing new strategies with significant biological activity, safety, and efficacy. In recent years, metal based compounds have been of great interest for treating various diseases, filling the gap left by conventional methodologies.

Summary: The limited anti-fungal activity of enzymatic hydrolysis lignin (EHL) has been overcome by cinnamaldehyde modification, which effectively enhances its anti-fungal activity. The modified lignin (EHL-DC) showed significantly improved inhibitory concentrations against Aspergillus niger and other fungi, causing changes in fungal cell membranes and reduction in mycelial biomass. This study provides valuable insights into the high-value utilization of enzymatic hydrolysis lignin using green chemistry principles.

Summary: A highly efficient and regioselective approach was developed to synthesize a novel 1,2,4-triazole-fused N-heterocyclic scaffold, pyrrolo[1,2-a][1,2,4]triazolo[3,4-c]pyrazine, through base-promoted reaction of pyrrole-2-carbonitrile-derived substrate with acyl hydrazide. This reaction involved multiple steps including enamine formation, attack on nitrile, and cyclodehydration, resulting in the sequential construction of pyrazine and 1,2,4-triazole ring systems with the formation of three C-N bonds.

Summary: This study aimed to identify and determine the distribution of chalkbrood disease agents in honeybee colonies, particularly in beekeeping areas in Turkey. Morphological and molecular methods, including ITS gene sequencing, were used to isolate and identify the causative agents. Out of the 1,193 randomly selected hives from 400 apiaries in 40 provinces in Turkey, 2.18% were found to be infected with A. apis. These findings are important for understanding the spread rate and prevalence of chalkbrood disease in Turkey.
