Design of a broadband reflectarray using meander-shaped elements

A novel cell element, the combination of meander-shaped rectangle and ring, is presented for reflectarray. The feature of the cell element is investigated along with the design of the feed and array. A 52-element array prototype based on the proposed element has been fabricated and measured showing good results over a 26% 1-dB gain bandwidth. (C) 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
