Summary: This paper studies the eigen-problems of reduced biquaternion matrices and derives new algebraic algorithms. It is concluded that the number of eigenvalues of reduced biquaternion matrices is infinite. The proposed algebraic algorithms are effective in application to a color face recognition problem.

Summary: In a tight-binding model of AA-stacked bilayer graphene, it is shown that a bound defect state can exist stably in the region of continuous spectrum, unaffected by variations in the strength of a perpendicular magnetic field, by creating a defect that is compatible with the interlayer coupling and shielding the bound state from the erratic variations of the continuous spectrum known as the Hofstadter butterfly.

Summary: In the study of EP-based sensors, it is important to consider that the peaks/valleys in the transmission spectrum may not always correspond to the real parts of the eigenvalues. A 'pseudo spectrum splitting' effect similar to EIT can occur, leading to misunderstandings and potential measurement errors. However, this effect can also be intentionally utilized in sensor design to create EP-like spectrum splitting.

Summary: In this paper, a 3D compressed wideband spectrum mapping model is proposed based on compressed sensing. The model achieves fast sensing and reconstruction of wideband spectrum situation through joint time-frequency-space compression at sub-Nyquist sampling rate, greatly reducing the number of measurements and ensuring mapping accuracy.

Summary: The non-commutative harmonic oscillator (NCHO) is a matrix valued differential operator that generalizes the quantum harmonic oscillator with weaker symmetry. Its spectrum exhibits number theoretical structures and has a connection with the quantum Rabi model. This paper introduces an analogous version of NCHO, called the ?-NCHO, which has a connection with the asymmetric quantum Rabi model (AQRM). The study of the ?-NCHO and AQRM in relation to the confluence process is expected to provide insights into the hidden symmetry and number of Juddian solutions of AQRM.

Summary: This article focuses on the eigenvalue problems of Riemannian manifolds with warped product metrics. For the classical Steklov eigenvalue problem, we provide optimal lower (upper) bounds for its spectrum. For two fourth-order Steklov eigenvalue problems, we derive lower bounds for their spectra and confirm a conjecture regarding the dimension restriction.

Summary: This paper proposes a new improved algorithm called SSAP, which balances exploration and exploitation through a novel population control strategy. By adjusting the frequency of search patterns, the algorithm's search performance is improved. Comparative experiments on benchmark functions show that SSAP outperforms other state-of-the-art algorithms and its validity is further verified by solving real-world problems. The search characteristics and population diversity of SSAP are also analyzed.

Summary: In this paper, we first consider the inverse palindromic eigenvalue problem (IPEP) and the best approximation problem (BAP). By partitioning the matrix Lambda and using QR-decomposition, the general solution of Problem IPEP is derived, and it is shown that the best approximation solution A is unique.

Summary: This article proposes a novel heuristic approach, called sequential solution method (SSM), for efficiently solving Continuous Facility Layout Problems (CFLPs). The proposed SSM method outperforms exact solutions and other metaheuristic algorithms, providing an alternative approach for solving large CFLP instances.

Summary: This paper investigates the energy estimate up to the boundary for stable solutions of semilinear equations with variable coefficients. By considering the L2+gamma norm of the gradient of stable solutions vanishing on the flat part of a half-ball, a universal estimate is obtained. This result holds for Lipschitz elliptic coefficients and also holds in general C1,1 domains, assuming the nonlinearity f to be convex.

Summary: Massive-Multiple Inputs and Multiple Outputs (M-MIMO) technology has a significant impact in the advanced radio framework, increasing capacity, spectral access, and data speed. However, signal detection becomes complicated with multiple antennas in the microcell. Novel hybrid algorithms such as QR-maximum likelihood detection (QR-MLD) and QR-minimum means square error (MMSE) are implemented for different MIMO structures, achieving efficient bit error rates (BER) with low complexity. Comparisons with conventional methods show that QR-MLD provides optimal performance and significantly enhances the framework's throughput gain.

Summary: In this work, a fast hierarchical solver is developed for solving large, sparse least squares problems. The solver utilizes a multifrontal QR approach and low-rank approximation to reduce computational complexity and memory usage, resulting in an approximate factorization of the matrix stored as a sequence of sparse orthogonal and upper-triangular factors.
