Summary: This paper discusses the introduction of the best consistency index and worst consistency index in interval additive preference relations, proposing optimization methods to address consistency and consensus issues. By optimizing models and consensus models, the worst consistency can be effectively managed to support group decision making.

Summary: This paper focuses on the consistency issue in pairwise comparisons and proposes optimization models as preference-modification advice tools. It designs system constraints to control consistency and provides optimal suggestions to retain the integrity of the original preference information. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is validated through a real case study.

Summary: This study introduces the concept of non-reciprocal fuzzy preference relations (NrFPRs) and proposes double-variance-based measuring formulas to compute the additive consistency indices. However, the study reveals that some properties and formulas proposed by previous researchers are incorrect, leading to redefining NrFPRs and developing new calculation methods.

Summary: A new emphasis method adjusted by both accuracy and genetic correlation is proposed to better reflect the actual selection emphasis applied in practice. This method groups genetically highly correlated traits into subindexes and calculates each trait's subindex emphasis within its group, helping to shrink the emphasis on low-heritability traits and expand that on growth traits. Accounting for differences in trait accuracy when describing percent emphasis within selection indexes gives a more practical indication of the likely outcome of selecting on the index.

Summary: In many applications, we often have access to the complete dataset but are interested in predicting only a specific region based on the predictor variables. Instead of finding one universally superior modeling method, it is more practical to consider the region-specific interest and use a weighted L2 loss approach. We propose a targeted cross-validation (TCV) that selects models or procedures based on a general weighted L2 loss and demonstrates its consistency in selecting the best performing candidate.

Summary: This paper proposes a dynamic updated Lagrangian material point method for elasto-plastic materials undergoing large deformation that guarantees momenta and energy conservation. It clarifies the sources of energy dissipation during point-to-grid and grid-to-point mappings for FLIP and PIC approaches and proposes a novel time-stepping approach based on an efficient approximation of the CFL condition. The formulation provided in this paper offers a platform for understanding the energy conservation nature of future/existing features of material point methods, such as contact approaches.

Summary: The proposed method aims to convert a hypothesis test into a model selection criterion to pursue consistency and sparsity of the selected model. It achieves consistency by letting the significance level of the test approach zero as the sample size increases, and maximizes sparsity by selecting the most sparse model among those not rejected by the test. Numerical comparisons show that this method has high accuracy and selects the true model faster than the Bayesian information criterion.

Summary: This study proposes a method for group decision-making using incomplete probabilistic linguistic preference relations to address the issue of medical supplier selection. Through a series of processes and methods, the handling of incomplete preference relations is completed and a group decision-making model is established, demonstrating the advantages of the method through a practical case.

Summary: This paper introduces two new definitions of additive consistency for hesitant fuzzy preference relations (HFPRs) and develops corresponding models to verify consistency. It also proposes a method to modify inconsistent HFPRs and designs an integrated algorithm to achieve consistency test, inconsistency modification, and weights derivation. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed methods are demonstrated through numerical examples and comparative analysis.

Summary: Thermal imaging cameras have broad application prospects. However, coloring thermal infrared grayscale images is more difficult. This study proposes an unsupervised learning scheme based on CycleGAN, which improves the coloring effect of thermal infrared grayscale images by increasing self-supervision and introducing a new edge similarity indicator.

Summary: This study provides a commentary on the ideas behind consistency definitions and indexes in interval multiplicative reciprocal matrices (IMRMs) and interval additive reciprocal matrices (IARMs). It compares two consistency definitions of interval-valued preference relations (IVPRs) and finds that defining the consistency in terms of imaginary intervals is equivalent to defining approximate consistency. Numerical examples illustrate differences between the two definitions.

Summary: This paper investigates decision making with incomplete IMPRs and proposes a new method to estimate missing values in incomplete IMPRs by minimizing a consistency index. Optimization models are constructed to obtain the most pessimistic and optimistic acceptably multiplicative consistent IMPRs, taking into account decision makers' risk attitudes.

Summary: This study found that plastic and other anthropogenic materials were present in 35% of pied flycatcher nests in rural woodlands throughout Great Britain. In an experimental test, the flycatchers preferred natural materials and one type of anthropogenic material. Additionally, they showed a preference for white plastic and avoided orange, blue, and yellow plastic.
