Summary: The pH-responsive random copolymers synthesized in this study showed high reactivity, with the removal of Boc groups resulting in copolymers with ionizable pendant groups. Differential scanning calorimetry and turbidity measurements were conducted to investigate the properties of the copolymers.

Summary: Amphiphilic diblock copolymers can assemble in aqueous solutions to form polymersomes, which can respond to pH, temperature, and other conditions. These robust vesicles are being studied as drug delivery systems or nanoreactors. Through characterization, it was found that these polymersomes with dual stimulus-response may serve as a platform for gene delivery and nanoreactors.

Summary: In this study, azadirachta indica gum was modified to form a network structure hydrogel for drug delivery of methyl prednisolone. The results showed that the monomer and crosslinker contents used during the copolymerization reactions affected the characteristics of the hydrogel, and the hydrogel exhibited controlled release properties.

Summary: In recent years, transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) has been widely used in noninvasive vascular interventional therapy for various diseases. This study developed a novel magnetic embolic agent, Fe3O4-loaded hydrophilic poly (hydroxyethyl methacrylate -acrylic acid) microspheres (FPHA-Ms), through inverse suspension polymerization and sequential in situ co-precipitation method. The characteristics and functionalities of FPHA-Ms, including morphology, particle size distribution, water content, elasticity, drug loading and eluting capacity, biosafety, MRI detectability, and embolic efficacy, were comprehensively evaluated. The results demonstrated that FPHA-Ms possessed desirable properties for clinical vessel embolization, drug loading, and MRI tracing.

Summary: In this study, novel crosslinked hydrogels based on acrylamide-2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate and acrylamide-N-isopropylacrylamide were prepared and their swelling behavior was investigated. The effects of different experimental conditions on the swelling kinetics of the hydrogel networks were studied. The fabricated hydrogels showed great potential to be used as superabsorbents with high swelling ratios.
