Summary: This paper introduces neuromorphic photonic processors based on resonator weight banks, which are emerging candidate technology for enabling modern artificial intelligence in high speed analog systems. These purpose-built analog devices leverage the physics of resonator devices to implement vector multiplications, offering efficiency, latency, and throughput advantages over equivalent electronic circuits. However, the challenges of compensation for fabrication variations and environmental disturbances need to be addressed through automated design and control methodologies for practical deployment.

Summary: Conjugated block copolymers consisting of poly(phenyl isocyanide) (PPI) and polyfluorene (PF) segments are synthesized via one-pot sequential polymerization of monomer 1 and monomer 2. These copolymers exhibit distinctive optical properties and fascinating chiral self-assembly behavior due to the helical conformation of PPI segment and pi-conjugated structure of PF segment. Furthermore, the self-assembled helical nanofibers display excellent circularly polarized luminescence performance.

Summary: This research demonstrates the use of protonated 3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene moieties as end groups in the preparation of organic conductors. An organic semiconductor was designed and synthesized, which showed broad absorption in the near-infrared range when doped with protonic acid. The electrical conductivity of the doped semiconductor reached approximately 0.1 S cm(-1) at 100 degrees C.

Summary: The resorcinol-terpene phytocannabinoid template is a privileged scaffold for developing therapeutics targeting the endocannabinoid system. Axially chiral cannabinols (axCBNs) and axially chiral cannabidiols (axCBDs), inspired by cannabidiol (CBD), are unique structural modifications that enhance the physical and biological properties of cannabinoid ligands. These findings provide a promising direction for the design of novel cannabinoid ligands for drug discovery and exploration of the complex endocannabinoid system.

Summary: The safety of medicinal products is determined by their pharmacological and toxicological profiles, which depend on both the active substance's toxicological properties and the impurities it contains. Many studies have been conducted on the separation and purification of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and the detection of impurities in APIs and drug products. Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) have been applied in these studies to separate impurities and serve as adsorbents in sample preparation. The surface-imprinting polymerization method has shown advantages over the bulk polymerization method in terms of higher adsorption capacity and faster adsorption kinetics of MIPs. However, MIPs are currently only used for organic compounds in the analysis of APIs and drug products, and there is a need to develop MIPs for other impurities, including multi-template MIPs for simultaneous separation of multiple impurities.

Summary: This study presents an in silico strategy for the synthesis of chiral N- and O-heterocycles using a modified limonene epoxide hydrolase as a catalyst. By reshaping the active site, the reprogrammed enzyme enables the catalysis of Baldwin-type cyclizations, leading to high conversion rates and enantiomeric ratios.

Summary: The first catalytic asymmetric synthesis of N-N axially chiral compounds has been achieved, adding a new dimension to axially chiral molecules and atropisomerism. DFT calculations have been used to understand enantioselectivity and guide the design of similar molecules. Research on N-N axial atropisomerism holds promise for new discoveries in medicinal chemistry and asymmetric catalysis.

Summary: Photonic chip-based waveguide-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (WERS) is an interesting method that utilizes the evanescent field of a waveguide to generate Raman scattering and collect scattered photons, leading to significant enhancements in Raman signal. Coating the waveguide with a selective sorbent material further improves the enhancement effect.

Summary: Chiral discrimination is crucial in environmental and life sciences, but an ideal discrimination strategy has not been developed yet due to nonspecific binding and insufficient optical activities. Researchers propose an inspector recognition mechanism based on chiral imprinted polydopamine and surface-enhanced Raman scattering, allowing for absolute discrimination of various chiral molecules.

Summary: The study presents a hybrid structure polymer complexed with europium ions, exhibiting luminescence sensitive to viscous chemical environments. The material shows dual-emission profile with red luminescence in DMF and DMSO, and blue emission in chloroform and toluene. DMSO and DMF are suggested to restrict intramolecular motion/rotation, minimizing non-radioactive energy losses and promoting europium luminescence.

Summary: Study on two copolymers, one with a chiral center and another without any asymmetric site, showed that pure polymers did not exhibit any chiro-optical activity. However, blends containing the achiral component displayed significant chiro-optical activity, attributed to stable supramolecular structures unaffected by blend composition. This suggests that utilizing supramolecular morphology can be a key strategy in achieving chiro-optical active polymers.

Summary: A detailed photophysical study was conducted on a polymer based on a fluorene derivative using ultrafast nonlinear spectroscopy. The study found significant differences in the photophysical behavior of the polymer in solution and as a film, suggesting a near absence of self-collapsed chain conformations in solution. In the film, interchain interactions promote efficient energy transfer, resulting in faster excited state relaxation compared to solution. The time scales of exciton dynamics revealed in this study are useful for designing blends for optoelectronic and electro-optical devices.
