Summary: This study constrained the fossil fuel soot emissions in southeastern China over the past 110 years using a novel radiocarbon method applied to sedimentary soot. The findings suggest that industrialization and economic development led to a sharp increase in fossil fuel soot emissions, but recent pollution controls have reduced the emissions.

Summary: Due to various reasons such as pharmaceutical industry disinterest and regulatory constraints, there is a severe lack of information on drug safety and efficacy for pregnant and lactating women. Challenges in research in obstetrical and lactation pharmacology have led to a lag in providing meaningful information, but recent recommendations from the federal government aim to address these issues.

Summary: Pregnant and lactating women lack adequate information on drug safety and efficacy, largely due to the pharmaceutical industry's lack of interest in conducting relevant studies, regulatory constraints, and medical-legal risks. Research in obstetrical and lactation pharmacology lags far behind that of pediatric pharmacology, but the government has made recommendations to address this issue.

Summary: This research explores the impact of crystal methamphetamine use on family and friends, and seeks to develop a support program. Through qualitative analysis, it is found that family and friends experience profound sadness, frustration, and loss when caring for a loved one who uses methamphetamine. Societal stigma surrounding methamphetamine use also complicates their experiences. The results of this study can provide insights for the design of intervention programs.

Summary: Kidney transplantation is the preferred treatment for children with end-stage kidney failure, but it faces obstacles such as suboptimal outcomes and the need for long-term immunosuppression. Improving HLA matching and utilizing HLA-DQ compatibility between recipient and donor in organ allocation schemes specifically for pediatric patients can enhance graft and patient outcomes. This review discusses recent literature on HLA matching in pediatric kidney transplantation and explores new approaches utilizing molecular mismatch load analysis.

Summary: Elision, a process in French phonology, is less researched compared to other linking phenomena. Data analysis shows that elision often occurs due to certain factors, while nonelision is more common in fluent, relaxed speech and appears to be spreading. This phenomenon is believed to be driven by register and discourse factors rather than purely phonological reasons.
