Summary: This study evaluated the effects of probenecid on the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of oral cephalexin in healthy volunteers. Results showed that probenecid increased cephalexin plasma concentrations and prolonged half-life, enhancing the likelihood of reaching PK/PD targets. Co-administration of probenecid may expand the clinical benefits of oral cephalexin.

Summary: This study aimed to verify whether the oral insulin N11005 is used as a prandial insulin by comparing its pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD), and safety profiles with a short-acting biosynthetic human insulin (Novolin R). A total of 12 healthy Chinese male subjects were enrolled in the study, and the results showed that N11005 has similar PD characteristics to prandial insulins, with a faster onset of action and comparable duration of action to the reference insulin. The study also demonstrated the safety and tolerability of N11005.

Summary: This study evaluated the pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic profiles and safety of CMS in Chinese subjects following a recommended dosage. The results showed that CMS may be effective against most carbapenem-resistant organisms, but inadequate for some carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii.

Summary: The study investigated the effects of CYP2C9 and CYP2C19 genetic polymorphisms on the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of gliclazide. The results showed that CYP2C9 and CYP2C19 genetic polymorphisms significantly affected the pharmacokinetics of gliclazide. However, the effects on plasma glucose and insulin responses were not significant, suggesting further research is needed.

Summary: The study aimed to investigate the effects of food and selected single nucleotide polymorphisms in the UGT2B7 gene on the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics behavior of indapamide. The results showed that food had a modest impact on the maximum concentration and absorption time of indapamide, while genetic variations in the UGT2B7 gene had no significant impact on the pharmacokinetic parameters. It was concluded that food had a moderate effect on the pharmacokinetics, but there were no significant differences in safety and efficacy.

Summary: This study evaluated the bioequivalence of CMAB807, a biosimilar to denosumab, for the treatment of osteoporosis. The results showed that CMAB807 had similar pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, safety, and immunogenicity to denosumab. CMAB807 could potentially be a new treatment option for patients with osteoporosis.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of aficamten in healthy Chinese adults. The results showed that aficamten was safe and well-tolerated in the Chinese population, with pharmacokinetics comparable to Western participants. These findings support future clinical studies of aficamten in Chinese patients.

Summary: The study showed that intravenous pimobendan at the recommended dose for dogs can effectively increase cardiac contraction and output, accelerate cardiac relaxation, and decrease vascular resistance. These findings support the use of injectable pimobendan in the treatment of acute heart failure.

Summary: This study investigated the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic characteristics of YYD601, a novel dual delayed release formulation of esomeprazole. The results showed that YYD601 had comparable acid inhibition effect to conventional esomeprazole 40 mg, and it was well-tolerated throughout the study.

Summary: The CYP2C9*3 and *13 alleles significantly affect the pharmacokinetics of glipizide, resulting in elevated plasma concentrations of the drug. Individuals with the CYP2C9*3 and *13 genotypes show a significant increase in mean AUC(0-infinity) of glipizide compared to those with the wild-type CYP2C9*1/*1 genotype, while the effects of glipizide on plasma glucose and insulin levels are not significantly different among CYP2C9 genotype groups.

Summary: The study compared the pharmacokinetic (PK), pharmacodynamic (PD), and tolerability profiles of CKD-11101 with those of the reference drug in healthy subjects. Results showed that CKD-11101 was well tolerated and exhibited comparable PK and PD characteristics with the reference drug after a single intravenous (IV) or subcutaneous (SC) dose.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics interaction of DWP16001 with gemigliptin and metformin. The results showed that there were no significant pharmacokinetic interactions between DWP16001, gemigliptin, and metformin. The urinary glucose excretion induced by DWP16001 was not affected by the coadministration of gemigliptin and metformin. It suggests that DWP16001 can be added to metformin and gemigliptin combination therapy without dose adjustment.

Summary: This study assessed the treatment satisfaction and owner preference for two delivery devices in diabetic dogs. The results showed that the preference for the devices differed depending on the order of use, with owners who used the pen injector first expressing a significant preference for VetPen compared to syringes. However, the choice of delivery device did not appear to affect the dogs' glycemic control.
