Summary: A series of copolymers were synthesized by altering the composition of polymers to improve taste when coated on pharmaceuticals. The copolymers poly[(2-vinylpyridine)-co-(butyl methacrylate)] and poly[(2-vinylpyridine)-co-(butyl methacrylate)-co-(methyl methacrylate)] were found to effectively improve taste and rapidly release the drug.

Summary: With the increase in the depth of coal mining, the problem of coal spontaneous combustion due to air leakage in the coal mine roadways is becoming increasingly serious. However, traditional cement mortar spray coatings are prone to cracking and poor flexibility, and polyurethane type spray coatings are not flame retardant, so they are unable to meet the spraying needs. This paper proposes the preparation of a cement-based flexible spray coating for flame retardant (CFSCF) by modifying the cement-based material with the addition of fly ash, cellulose, and emulsion material. The tensile mechanical properties, micromorphology, and flame retardant properties of CFSCF were studied, and the results showed that it had excellent flexibility and good flame retardant properties.

Summary: This study compares bead coating and spray drying methods for the manufacturing of high drug-loaded amorphous solid dispersions (ASDs) and the generation of physically stable formulations. The results show that bead coating has a greater ability to manufacture high drug-loaded ASDs compared to spray drying, and demonstrate the importance of drug-polymer interactions in achieving high drug loadings.

Summary: This study investigates the performance and durability of lubricated polymer coatings under cyclic icing/deicing tests. The results showed stable icephobic behavior for some coatings, while others experienced a decrease in performance over the cycles. Cyclic testing caused mechanical damage to the surfaces, resulting in increased surface roughness and reduced hydrophobicity.

Summary: The introduction of Y-series non-fullerene acceptors has greatly improved the power conversion efficiencies of organic solar cells. This study demonstrates, for the first time, the deposition of a Y-series-based system using ultrasonic spray coating, which has the potential for significantly faster deposition speeds than traditional methods. The use of an air-knife enables rapid removal of the casting solvent and overcomes film reticulation, resulting in spray-coated PM6:DTY6 devices with PCEs of up to 14.1%. The study also highlights the challenges of scalable coating for Y-series-based solar cells, particularly the influence of slower drying times on blend morphology and crystallinity. The compatibility of ultrasonic spray coating with high-speed roll-to-roll OSC manufacturing techniques is demonstrated.
