Summary: This study examines the adoption of patient-reported outcome measures (PROs) among health systems and physician practices nationwide and identifies the organizational capabilities associated with greater adoption. The findings show that health systems with more advanced health IT functions were more likely to adopt PROs for disability and depression. At the practice level, chronic care management programs, routine screening, and patient-centered care initiatives were associated with higher adoption of PROs. The study suggests that enhancing these practice-level capabilities may be more effective in promoting the adoption of PROs than solely expanding health IT functions.

Summary: This study examines primary care physicians' adoption of prevention and monitoring technology, finding that adoption decisions are influenced by payment incentives, educational assistance, and market characteristics. Results show a positive impact of education programs on physician adoption, which is associated with the number of diabetic patients a physician has and the fraction of physician-adopters in the same market.

Summary: Dairy production is vital for smallholder farmers in Ethiopia, but livestock diseases hinder its development. A survey in Addis Ababa and Oromia regions found low adoption rates of biosecurity measures (BSM) in dairy farms, increasing the risk of disease transmission. Adoption of BSM is influenced by various factors, including education and farming experience.

Summary: Physicians generally have positive attitudes towards guideline adherence, but major barriers include complexity of guideline documents, high number of weak recommendations, and time constraints due to clinical responsibilities. Improved training focus and access to relevant guidelines at the point of care may be important to enhance guideline adherence.

Summary: Understanding the factors that influence the adoption intensity of sustainable farming practices is crucial for the sustainable development of the food system. This study found that dispositional influences play a significant role in adoption intensity at the farm level, while productivity objectives have a negative association and value chain support has a positive association with adoption intensity. Participation in agri-environment schemes is not associated with farm-level adoption intensity.

Summary: This study compared the environmental impacts of laser-induced maize production to conventional farming practices. The results showed that laser technology had an environmentally friendly system for treating maize seeds before sowing, and the mineral fertilization process was identified as the most significant threat to the environment.

Summary: Agriculture plays a crucial role in mitigating and adapting to climate change. This study investigated the differences among High, Moderate, and Low adopters of climate-smart practices, based on surveys conducted with 952 California farmers. The findings revealed that farmers with larger land parcels were more likely to be High adopters, while those with access to only one water source tended to be Low adopters. The study also highlighted the importance of targeted outreach efforts to promote the adoption of climate-smart practices in California agriculture.

Summary: This study aims to investigate the usage of teaching practices and ICTs in OM during the COVID-19 outbreak in emerging economies, and explore how contextual characteristics affect their adoption levels. The findings suggest that lecturers and professors have widely adopted specific teaching practices and ICTs in OM teaching, but the adoption levels may significantly vary depending on the university, department, and lecturer/professor characteristics. Additionally, it is empirically verified that ICTs have a positive relationship with OM teaching practices in emerging economies, albeit to a lesser extent than expected.

Summary: Physicians are more altruistic in their social preferences compared to other groups, with a higher percentage placing a greater weight on others than on themselves. However, their preferences regarding equality-efficiency orientation are similar to those of the general population and elite subsamples, and less efficiency-oriented than medical students.

Summary: Medical groups are concerned about physician turnover and its impact on patient access and care quality. A study found that physician turnover rates increased from 2010 to 2014, stabilized in 2017, and slightly increased in 2018. There were also differences in turnover rates based on location, specialty, and patient characteristics. Data from the first 3 quarters of 2020 showed lower turnover rates compared to the same period in 2019. Rating: 8/10
