Rhodium-Catalyzed Asymmetric Reductive Cyclization of Heteroatom-Linked 5-Alkynals with Heteroatom-Substituted Acetaldehydes

We have established that a cationic rhodium(1)/H-8-BINAP complex catalyzes the asymmetric reductive cyclization of heteroatom-linked 5-alkynals with heteroatom-substituted acetaldehydes in good yields with outstanding enantioselectivity.
